Staying Strong for Stacey
We are Stacey's support team for her battle with Hodgkins Lymphoma!!
Stacey has had people ask how shes doing lately.
She rang the bell in January 2023!!! Praise the Lord!!
She has had several follow ups with her labs still looking great! Again Praise the Lord!!
She continues to have some shortness of breath from time to time. Since going through the chemotherapy she now has high blood pressure so she is in medication to regulate that.
She has had some up/ downs with colds and such . She is much more susceptible.
At Christmas her family got struck by COVID so they couldnโt come home. She says she still has that chronic cough.
Overall she is doing much better!!
Ringing of the bell!

Last week we donated 25 port pillows to Cardinal Glennon as Stacey requested. We are told they are completely gone! So today 30 more were made for various ages to be donated soon.
This girl has had a rough few days . She had a stitch stuck from the port placement. So they thought it was infected , that was a scare in a half!! Well itโs not. Just inflamed. So they had to put a picc line in today to do her chemotherapy treatment. She is one tough cookie!! The stitch removal was very painful, several inches. Now we are back on schedule with a few new hiccups along the way. It was a very long day for her and I both!
25 port pillows finished , ready to donate โค๏ธ๐โค๏ธ๐
The brave girl during round 2 โค๏ธ๐โค๏ธ๐ It went much smoother this time. ๐๐๐ for next week to better than last week

Today was the 1st treatment. Overall she did very well so far. Had some dizziness during one of the chemo medications, it eventually went away. Later got a headache now resting at home . We will see what the next few days bring.
Our family made Stacey a bag for chemo with stuff we think or know she will need. We had a family lunch before chemo starts this week.
So yesterday we had Staceyโs oncology appointment. She has Stage 2 Classic Hodgkinโs Lymphoma. The cure rate is 90% , Praise God!! Her port will be put in on Wednesday. She will will start chemotherapy on Friday every 2 weeks for 8 treatments. Then we will re-evaluate with another petscan! Stacey you got this girl!! We love you!!
Petscan complete. Just waiting on results and treatment plans tomorrow at the oncologist office ๐๐๐๐๐
