Fushimi- Ina ri-taisha is the top temple among the 30,000 Ina ri-jinja shrines nationwide, it is also commonly known by the familiar name Oinari-san. It is said that this temple was built in 711. The holy area is about 870,000m2, centered on Mount Ina ri-yama. Fushimi-Inari-taisha Shrine is famous for its "Zenbon Torii" tunnel with lots of bright red Torii gates within the temple grounds.
