According to the U.S. Census of Agriculture’s 2022 data, released in February, Idaho has lost 2,119 farms, or 8.5% of its total farms, between 2017 and 2022.
Roeser states while Idaho is losing farm acres to development, it sustains a huge value-added industry in Idaho which comes with a deep supply chain.

The next Governor's Trade Mission will take place in Taiwan and Japan from November 4 - 8, 2024.

The event will be led by Governor Brad Little and feature meetings with potential customers and strategic government officials.

The application for T-Mobile Hometown Grants is now open!

Through T-Mobile Hometown Grants, towns with a population of 50,000 or less can get up to $50,000 to bring your community project ideas to life. The program will help fund projects to build, rebuild, or refresh community spaces that help foster local connections in your town. For example, this might include the town square pavilion, a historic building, an outdoor park, a ball field, or a library– every town has places where friends and neighbors connect.

The current grant cycle is now open and will close on Sunday, June 30, 2024.

Main Street America thank you for supporting our small businesses!

The Backing Small Businesses grant program is now open!

In partnership with American Express, the Backing Small Businesses grant program supports economically vulnerable and under-resourced small businesses with community reach.

This year, eligible small business owners can apply for $10,000 grants for projects that grow or improve their businesses by building community, supporting their economic viability, or bolstering meaningful change.

Applications will be accepted from 9 a.m. CT on March 14, 2024, through April 7, 2024, at 11:59 pm CT. The application period will end once 5,000 applications have been submitted, even if that occurs before the deadline—so make sure to apply early!

The Idaho Department of Commerce is accepting applications for the Idaho Gem Grant program.
Eligible applicants are limited to city and county governments. The project must be in a city with a population of no more than 10,000 or an unincorporated community.
For this round placemaking projects are encouraged to apply.
