Runner's Toenail is a common condition seen in our office. Many people have a long 2nd toe. In runners (or cleat sports), a long 2nd toe can cause repetitive trauma to the toenail creating a blood blister underneath the toenail which becomes thick and protruding.
If you are a runner and your toenail looks discolored and thick like this, you will only make matters worse if you ignore it. Thick nails always have to be treated, otherwise your nails may become become permanently deformed.

Our beloved 12 year-old Doberman Daisy died unexpectedly just before Thanksgiving. She had high blood pressure and her medication was on auto-ship from Chewy.com. When I notified them to discontinue her auto-ship they sent me the most lovely condolences reply. And tonight, when I came home, they had delivered flowers to my home. What a remarkable gesture from an online company who doesn’t know me, but obviously cares. Chewy.com - Thank you. I am speechless with gratitude ❤️ And for everyone else, give your pets a hug and smooch from me tonight - just because.

Just finished a private office rotation month with Superstar 3rd year podiatry students Paul Tran and Stephanie Liu. They worked hard, were always prepared and were just plain fun to have around. Thanks Paul and Steph!
Every year Team FDFAC heads to to the new models of running shoes. We twist, flex and try on dozens of pair of shoes so you don't have to. Skate Gait
We love all sports but have a special fondness for skaters. Once in a while skate gait can be seen in our office hallways as we assess skate fit and implement Injury prevention. Special thanks to Sam for showing us how it’s done!

3rd year student doctor Amanda Luong is a natural at fiberglass cast removal.
We see a lot of tattoos in our office and although this is henna and not a tattoo we were so enamored with the delicacy and beauty of the designs we just had to share. Enjoy!
