"Deep African Thought: The Zulu Personal Declaration and the Essence of Humanity"

Malcolm X expressed the need for enlightenment, mutual understanding, love, patience, and unity. He believed that these concepts were interconnected and essential for human progress.

“We need enlightenment. We need more light about each other. Light creates understanding, understanding creates love. Love creates patience and patience creates unity.” ~Malcolm X

Miriam Makeda highlighted the difference in the perception of time between Westerners and Africans. According to her, birth for Africans is a plunge into a pool of past, present, and future, where things may be done with but are not dead. Even after mortal beings leave the pool, spirits remain.

“When a westerner is born, he or she enters a stream of time that is always flowing. When a point in life is passed, it is finished. When a western dies, he leaves the stream which flows on without him or her. BUT, for us, birth plunges us into a pool in which the waters of past, present, and future swirl around together. Things happen and are done with, but they are not dead. After we splash about a bit in this life, our mortal beings leave the pool but our spirits remain.” ~Miriam Makeda.

The Zulu Personal Declaration exemplifies deep African thought and serves as a guiding value system for the Zulu people. It encompasses personal, social, moral, ethical, political, spiritual, ecological, economical, aesthetic, and cosmic values. The declaration is grounded in the essence of all things, UQOBO, and the Law, which relates to the Kemetic concept of MA'AT. It emphasizes the importance of balance, harmony, and reciprocity.
In each human life there is an existential crisis or existential moments. The questions usually asked when one is on the famished road are, Who am I? What am I? Why am I? The declaration makes it clear that it is a challenge to be human; and one is in a state of perpetual evolution. However, each person is adequate, and have within them all they need to be the best they can be.

Humans face existential crises and questions about their identity, purpose, and existence. The declaration recognizes the challenges of being human and the perpetual state of evolution. Each person has the potential to be the best they can be and should not frustrate others in their pursuit of realizing their humanity. The concept of umuntu ngumuntu ngabantu, "a person is a person through persons," emphasizes the interconnectedness of humanity and the importance of treating others with respect and dignity.
Therefore, others are mirrors of our consciousness. We recognise ourself in the way we treat others.

Hal yang spesifik, yaitu kehidupan kita yang di satu pihak diatur oleh hukum negara (hukum publik), di pihak lain diasuh oleh hukum adat.

Hal itulah yang membuat kita merasa bahwa kita sebetulnya adalah mahkluk budaya, bukan sekedar warga negara. Tapi kalau warga negara, kita hanya berselisih di bidang hukum publik, tetapi kita lupa bahwa ada dimensi lain dari manusia yang memungkinkan dia punya aspirasi.

Jadi, kalau hukum negara membatalkan hak masyarakat adat untuk beraspirasi, maka negara itu tidak paham tentang watak kebudayaan bangsa ini. Itu intinya.

Jadi, kalau siapapun yang menebang satu pohon, dia akan didenda satu ekor Kerbau dan uang 45 juta rupiah.

Bayangkan, berapa banyak denda yang harus dibayarkan oleh Pak Jokowi kalau menebang pohon di Kalimantan.

Itu di Kalimantan.
Bagaimana kalau kita di Papua?

Kita, Orang Asli Papua HARUS WASPADA TERHADAP K0NSPIR4SI GEN0SID4 GL0B4L atas wilayah kita, saudara kita, sesama kita, dan keluarga kita. Serta siapapun kapasitas kita.

Semoga Kita Terus Saling Mengingatkan Untuk Menjaga Masyarakat Adat Kita. 🤲🏽🙏🏽

Hai parah kepala suku, pimpinlah rakyatmu sesuai pesan moyangmu, sebab mereka percayakan Anda bukan membunuh mereka dengan kepentingan perutmu.

Tanah adalah Mama.
Kita jual atau kontrak Tanah = jual Mama atau kontrak Mama kepada orang lain.

Kita jual Tanah = jual Generasi.
