We have a private wake this Saturday 21st May, so will be closed to the general public.

This is what we have been up against for the last year. Some bored, pathetic person trying to cause damage to our business posting lies on the previous owners page!! It’s been almost two years since they had the pub, move on get yourself a hobby, preferably one that doesn’t involve us would be nice!!
And thank you for the messages from the lovely people to let us know about the post.
We will be back doing Sunday Roasts again soon but they won’t be anywhere near £19.50!!

There is so much damage on top of the damage caused by the last storm! Stay safe and keep an eye on Kielder Forest - Forestry England for updates!!

Please don't visit Kielder until we have checked all the trails that were opened up following storm Arwen.

Sadly and very frustrating our crews have to go out and check all the trails again for safety after this weekends 2 storms as we expect to find more trees blocking routes.

As you can see in the photo the power cable is on the ground and there may be locations where trees have yet to fall over and in the forest there are power cables.

As soon as we have checked trails we will update what is open again- with now possibly snow coming by the weekend these are going to be challenging conditions to work in.

We appreciate this will be frustrating for those who want to come and enjoy Kielder- however keeping everyone safe is our priority.

Our view tonight certainly makes it feel like Christmas!!

We have electric back up and running but as you can imagine we have had to throw away all of our food stock from freezers and deep clean them. We will be getting a delivery and starting again tomorrow so will be open from 12. Thank you for your patience 😊

Just to let everyone out there know we do not have any power at the pub and haven’t since Friday. Just incase anyone was wanting a run out. Hopefully we will be back up and running soon 🤨. Also I’ve just popped out so I have signal so I will do my best to answer messages once electric has been restored 😊

Well we have decided it would be lovely to do something for Halloween, so we are going to be doing a little something for the kids from 6:30 on Saturday 30th with trophy for best dressed Halloween outfit and same for adults later on. Pop in for some fun, games and sweet treats 🎃👻💀🎃👻💀🎃👻💀

We’ve had some lovely visitors so far today, Jamaal Lascelles and his lovely family!! he has made Rays day!!!

Tomorrow’s the day!! We have both bar and restaurant set up with tv’s ready for the final!! Kids will be welcome for the match but will have to remain in the restaurant. Snacks will be available during the match. Come on England!!

Today’s beef dinners have went down a treat 🤩. We also had turkey but sold out rather quickly 😊

A couple of tonight’s meals. Beef madras with chunky chips, Naan with a yoghurt and mint dip and also beef chilli nachos with side salad 😊

So tomorrow 1st of June we won’t be open until 4:30, we need to restock after this weekend (it’s been a busy one) . Look forward to seeing all you lovely people then 👌

Motorhome and Campervan stopovers are £10 per night £15 with EHU.. just to make people aware we do not have facilities, you are welcome to use the toilets in the pub during opening hours otherwise there are public toilets located opposite the castle. There is no waste disposal, we politely ask you plan ahead as non of the other stopover spots locally offer this either, we do however offer water refills.
We are a child friendly pub so there will be little ones running around making the most of the area but all children are expected to leave the bar by 9pm. We appreciate all your love and support and we cannot wait for the summer to finally begin.

Just thought I’d share a quick post as i didn’t have time last week.. On Sunday we will be serving Sunday lunches from 12 and this week it will be roast beef or roast turkey..

Well it’s a cold start for opening day! Hope you all have your thermals at the ready! We will be open today from 12. We have Leek & Potato soup to keep you warm.
