WILLIAMSPORT, TN | 03.27.2024 | Wednesday afternoon, at approximately 5:45 PM, Maury County Fire were dispatched to reports of a vegetation fire at the 2400 Block of Fattybread Branch Road near Natchez Trace Parkway, in Williamsport.
Upon arrival, it was discovered that the fire was within Hickman County's jurisdiction located deep into the treeline where access was limited.
Incident Command was presumed by Maury County Fire along with an initial fire attack. Tennessee Division of Forestry and Hickman County Fire were additionally requested where a Unified Command was established.
The fire was reported to have spread approximately 6 to 7 acres with a slow rate of spread.
Cause of the fire is under investigation. No reports of injuries or structural damages.

MARSHALL COUNTY, TN | Monday afternoon, at roughly 1:40 PM, Marshall County OEM responded to reports of a commercial vehicle fire on Interstate 65 at mile marker 32, southbound.
Upon arrival, it was discovered to be a tractor trailer hauling compacted cardboard material from a recycling facility in the Metropolitan Nashville area. Unknown material was additionally discovered as fire crews noticed liquid pouring from the trailer as it was burning and is under investigation as to what it may be.
Firefighters with the Maury County Fire were also requested for mutual aid.
Cause of the fire is unknown and is being investigated at this time. No reports of any injuries from the driver of the semi.

SANTA FE, TN | 12.15.2023 | At approximately 6:06 PM on Friday night, Maury County Fire Department responded to a structure fire at 2731 Ragsdale Road in the Santa Fe community.
Arriving units discovered the structure to be at least 80% involved, with several exposures threatened including trees. This caused a defensive fire attack to commence for roughly 3 to 4 hours.
Deputy Chief Schatz, with the Maury County Fire, stated there was at least one civilian injured and one firefighter that had heat exhaustion. Both were treated on scene by Maury Regional EMS and did not require transport.
American Red Cross were also contacted to assist in helping any of the residents that were displaced.
The cause of the fire is said to have been a heat lamp. No additional injuries were reported.

MEMPHIS, TN | 11.04.2023 | Saturday night at approximately 11pm, officers with the Memphis Police responded to a shooting located at 508 South Main Street.
After arriving on scene, officers located a man on the ground by two small businesses. The man was then transported to Regional One Hospital and was said to be in critical condition.
Local residents report they heard roughly more than 30 rounds being fired, covering front windows and nearby vehicles with bullet holes.
No suspect information was given.
EAST NASHVILLE, TN | 08.21.2023 | Metro Nashville Police responded to a shooting at a gas station on the 1000 Block of Shelby Avenue in East Nashville Monday evening.
Metro Police say that the shooting occurred just after 5:30 PM, leaving at least one person injured.
The person was transported to Vanderbilt University Medical Center.
No other information was released.
UPDATE: Metro Police say the whole incident started when a red Dodge Durango blocked a black Dodge Ram pickup at the gas pumps, causing an occupant in the pickup to throw an object at the suv. That is when the occupants in the Durango opened fire.

Memphis Police responded to an armed robbery yesterday evening at the 1200 Block of Applebrook Lane. The victim says before the suspect held a gun to their head, they claimed to be a maintenance worker.

COLUMBIA, TN | 06.27.2023 | Late Tuesday night, at 11:04 PM, Columbia Fire & Rescue responded to an urgent call regarding a commercial structure fire located at 507 East James Campbell Blvd, near the intersection of Tom J Hitch Parkway.
Upon arrival at approximately 11:11 PM, the first units confirmed that a storage facility situated behind the Exxon gas station was fully engulfed in flames, prompting a mutual aid request for Spring Hill Fire and Mount Pleasant Fire. Promptly, the firefighting operations commenced to combat the blaze.
At around 11:24 PM, Ladder 1 initiated exterior operations utilizing their aerial equipment.
The flames were successfully suppressed shortly thereafter.
Fortunately, there have been no reported injuries or fatalities resulting from the incident. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.

MEMPHIS - Monday evening at around 7:35 PM, firefighters arrived to a home with a detached garage that was covered in flames. No human-related injuries were reported, however a dog allegedly was hurt and was looked at by paramedics. Full story on our website linked below.

MT. PLEASANT, TN | 05.20.2023 | At approximately 4:00 AM on Saturday morning, officers with the Mount Pleasant Police Department were engaged in a pursuit of a man on a dark-colored motorcycle heading southbound on Tennessee 243 in Mount Pleasant at high rates of speed.
After attempting to flee officers, the suspect took a right turn onto the Highway 43 entrance and crashed into a guardrail, pinning them and their motorcycle underneath the rail.
The motorcycle caught fire and was shortly after knocked down with a fire extinguisher.
The man operating the motorcycle was conscious an alert and had sustained moderate to severe injuries and was soon after transported by EMS to Maury Regional Airport to be airlifted.
Maury County Sheriffs and Mount Pleasant Fire also responded to this incident.
No other information is known at this time.

At around 4:30 PM on Saturday afternoon, firefighters with the LACoFD received a report of a person trapped in the Santa Clara River.
When arriving on scene, firefighters with the county reported a woman, approximately in her 40s, trapped within Santa Clara River, roughly 50 feet in.
After being rescued and freed, the woman was airlifted via helicopter due to the terrain she was in.
No injuries were known at this time.

MT. PLEASANT, TN | 05.04.2023 | Late Thursday night, deputies with the Maury County Sheriff's Office were in pursuit of a red Dodge Challenger, when it crashed into two other vehicles on Lawrenceburg Highway and Highway 43 in Mount Pleasant.
At approximately 11 PM, emergency crews were further dispatched to the location as the three-vehicle wreck resulted in multiple injuries, including at least one death. LifeFlight and Air Evac were requested and shortly after transported at least two patients to Vanderbilt.
The fatal crash resulted in an hours-long shut down, heading Northbound on Highway 43. At approximately 4:30 AM on Friday morning, the incident and debris were cleared.
No further information was given at this time.

MURFREESBORO, TN | 04.08.2023 | At roughly 8:49 PM on Saturday night, Murfreesboro Fire & Rescue and Murfreesboro Police responded to a two vehicle crash on South Rutherford Blvd, just east of Highway 41.
Upon arrival of first responders, it was determined that there were moderate to severe damage to both vehicles involved, resulting in at least one person to be injured.
One male occupant, of a Gold-colored Chrysler, had suffered injuries and was evaluated by Rutherford County EMS where they were later transported to the hospital.
Both vehicles were soon after towed to clear the roadway.
No other information was provided at the time and no other injuries that were known were provided either.
Mentone, CA — On Tuesday morning, April 11th, San Bernardino County Fire and Redlands Fire responded to a traffic collision with extrication on Highway 38, between Crafton Avenue and Plumwood Lane, in Mentone.
Emergency crews shut down Highway 38 after a box-truck collided with a pickup that crossed into oncoming traffic.
The driver of the pickup needed to be extricated after becoming trapped in the wreckage, and was rushed to the hospital with severe injuries. The driver of the box-truck suffered minor injuries and was later released from the scene after being treated by Redlands Fire at the crash site.
Diesel fuel was additionally leaking onto the roadway and traveling downhill, resulting in a Hazardous Materials incident.
The entire incident caused Highway 38 to be closed for several hours to allow crews to minimize an stop fuel leakage and also tow companies to clear the wreckage.

CULLEOKA, TN | 04.09.2023 | Late Sunday night, at approximately 10:15 PM, first responders were dispatched to a vehicle accident with injuries on Pulaski Highway, cross of Scott Hollow Road in Culleoka.
Firefighters with the Maury County Fire arrived on scene to find that the vehicle, a gray Kia Soul, had hit part of a concrete bridge, entrapping at least one adult.
Upon arrival of Maury Regional EMS, firefighters were able to complete a successful extrication.
Additionally, LifeFlight was requested and was able to airlift the patient to Vanderbilt.
No other known injuries or information was provided at the time.
No deaths were reported in this incident.
