I’ve been thinking about this piece a lot lately. Something about softness. Something about forgiveness. Something about holding complexity.
Things that our culture might not prepare us to do so well.
And then my friend comes along and points out the use of this word in his newly acquired farming practice (side note, I’ve been deeply involved with a local farm for the past year or so) and he was musing on the connection between his yielding to the earth and the yield that the plants provide. A verb and a noun. That yielding can lead to a yield. 🤯
When I make a piece of art it’s with the knowledge that I don’t control how people will interact with it, I don’t control how people will interpret it. So here I am posting this picture of this sign… because it’s resonating with me in this moment… and wondering if it resonates with you.

Happy Birthday Mini!!!
60 years ago today (Aug 26, 1959) the British Motor Corporation released its first compact car, the Mini!! 69 years later, I absolutely love mine!! It’s a thrill to drive and such a great car company that takes amazing care of its customers!! Oh!! The places we’ll go!!!

What a masterpiece of filmmaking...a testament to the human spirit and a technical powerhouse of documentary filmmaking!! Also the more suspenseful and stress inducing than any horror film@or thriller I have ever seen!! Well done to all the filmmakers!!

Paro Taktsang “Tiger’s Nest” Temple is Bhutan’s more sacred temple, perched 3000ft above the valley floor. Legend has it that in the 8th Century, Guru Rinpoche glee to this site on a winged tigress to vanquish an evil demon who was tormenting the land. Since then, Bhutan has lived in relative peace, in harmony with the land. Unlike nearly every other country on earth, Bhutan does not measure GDP, instead measure the success of the country and her leaders according to Gross National Happiness.
