Really wanted to liven up the living room and wanted a statement sofa. Green has always been my favourite colour and I felt like it was the perfect piece for this room to add a pop of colour. Ready to admit to my flaw sometimes I pick aesthetic over functionality and definitely did that with this piece 😩.

Finding the perfect neutral shade for my house was one of the hardest things to pick. It took me multiple weeks to decide on the final shade but I think I truly found it. Best tip paint your top choices on a wall and live with the samples for a few weeks and analyse the colour in different lights. But for me the perfect shade was pebble shore by Dulux. I highly recommend it for anyone to keep their home nice and bright but cosy at the same time. My next post will show the colour in the room. Let me know your thoughts on what your perfect shade is.

There is always a point through a renovation where you question your decision, am I making the right call, am I going in the right direction or have I ruined the design. But have faith and follow through because it will all come together in the end. My Victorian house needed bringing into the 21st century but I also didn’t want it to feel clinical. Keeping some of the original features with some modern elements allows the charm to shine. What’s your thoughts?

The before and after of this room is truly mind blowing. From learning to plaster to having someone teach me how to do joinery, skills that can only improve.
