Do you know the fascinating origin of the word congee 🥣?
It can be traced to the Tamil 🇮🇳🪷 word Kanji meaning boiling. Both Tamil and Chinese style of congee are similar in taste and ingredients except the fact that the Chinese ‘Congee’ has bits of meat 🥓 floating in the gruel.
Congee is a staple food in so many culture. In Nepal 🇳🇵 we put a bit of turmeric and clarified butter 🧈 in our congee. The aroma is so nice.

Momo🥟 is just crazily delicious with congee🥣🤯.
What is Momo?
It is a Nepali style dumpling. It is a classic example of Tibetan influence on Nepali cuisine. Travelling Nepali Newar merchants took the recipe of momo from Tibet, where they used to go to trade. In Nepal it was made with vegetable fillings to meet the needs of larger vegetarian Hindus.
Momo is so well known and popular in the world that now when people say Nepal🇳🇵 they remember MOMO🥟

Introducing our signature congee👉 Pork Bone Congee 豬骨粥
Our mother👩👧👦who used to own a Chinese restaurant 12 years ago curated this menu. The rice is boiled with pork bone and raw peanut and topped with sesame oil and spring onion. You can choose some sides of delicious momo (Nepali style dumpling 🥟), homemade spring roll, egg, edamame, etc.
