Hodge Events is the project lead for our expedition up Mt Kilimanjaro this October, working alongside and in conjunction with the Andy Reid MBE - Standing Tall Foundation 🤝

As well as heading up to the summit with triple amputee and war hero, Andy Reid MBE, we will also be attempting to break a genuine Guinness World Record 🤞🏽

Both myself and Bob had a phone call the other week to chat about the current crisis over in Ukraine, and we wanted to know what we could do to help? 🤔

Given Bobs’ status as an International Rugby League Legend, and that we have wanted to work on something together for a while now! 🏉🥂

I adhere to these 5 steps on a daily basis, and surprisingly they’re not that hard to do 😊

Connect: talk & listen to someone, a problem shared is a problem halved 💬

Be Active: Don’t have to run a marathon, do what you can and enjoy what you do. Healthy Body = Healthy Mind 💪🏽

Take Notice: Stop, think! The little things in life are always the best and the issues you perceive as “big” probably aren’t 💭

Keep Learning: Leave your comfort zone, it may surprise you 📚

Give: It may only be your time, but by giving it, you may not only help yourself, but someone else also 🙌🏽

So there has been a few comments come to light with regards to ourselves and the 66 American Steakhouse closing it’s doors this past week.

Firstly, we would like to say that the steakhouse, was its own separate organisation and Hodge Events hold absolutely no responsibility to how they do/did business. We simply got asked to put on an event for them.

They had been operating for 4-5months before they made contact with ourselves and we decided to put a Re-Launch Night on for them with the sole purpose to help a struggling independent business within St Helens raise some revenue off the back of opening during the COVID-19 Pandemic.

Hodge Events competed this objective by marketing & promoting the relaunch night, providing special guests, singers and entertainment for the evening. We sold out the venue for the night and gave the otherwise struggling restaurant it’s highest takings since it had been open, and we would like to re-thank everyone who helped us to make the event a success.

We are very sad to hear the news that 66 American Steakhouse has elected to close its doors as we personally seen a lot of potential for the venue in 2022 and beyond. We would like to wish Kane, and all the staff the very best of luck for the future, and we kindly ask that people please reach out to us for the facts, before posting incorrect information on social media.
