Nc'nean Botanical Spirit.

Nc’nean aimed to change the face of the scotch whisky market. Annabel, the founder, wanted to create a product that could exist in harmony with the planet. Their namesake is inspired by Neachneohain, the ancient Gaelic goddess, a fierce protector of nature.

Sustainability is at the core of their mission. Sourcing organic barley, powering their processes with renewable energy and recycling almost all of their waste makes Nc’nean one of the most forward-thinking producers currently in Scotland.

This innovative spirit is perfect for gin lovers. Classic gin botanicals are combined with locally foraged Scottish plants creating a rich, floral spirit. Expect to find faint herbal aromas, dark fruits and a peppery spice, with the same bread and barley notes found on the nose.

Enjoy as you would a gin, over ice, with tonic and a slice of grapefruit.

Calling all Whisky lovers.

You just have to try JGT Batch 1 - Blended Malt Scotch Whisky - Smoky Core.

J. G. Thomson & Co was originally a wine & spirits merchant based in Leith with roots dating back to the 18th century. The business occupied The Vaults in Leith, now home to The Scotch Malt Whisky Society. This historic name has now been re-born with a fantastic new range of spirits.

This 'Smoky' Batch No.1 is a blend of 100% Islay malt whiskies matured in a range of American oak Pedro Ximenez butts & hogsheads and ex-bourbon hogsheads. The whisky was then blended through a solera system.

The spirit has ashy, medicinal and fruity notes on the nose, with delicious flavours of smoked meats, cloves and honeycomb on the palate.

A glass of port is always a great way to end the day.

You just have to try our Port of Leith Tawny Port.🍇🍷

Martha's Family Estate has been producing Tawny Harbor in the Douro Valley since the mid-18th century. Most of that time, their wines were sold to merchants in Porto to be bottled under someone else's brand. We couldn't believe our taste buds when we discovered them. This Reserve Tawny has been matured for 6 to 8 years and retains incredibly pure and vibrant red fruit aromas with a beautiful nutty undertone.

Gin Fun Facts.
Gin doesn’t have a shelf life!
Do you still have that bottle of gin tucked away in the back of your cupboard? Well, we have good news! It hasn’t gone out of date! The worst that can happen to a bottle of gin is that it might lose a few flavour nuances or it might deplete slightly in alcoholic strength.
It might be time for you to open that bottle!

What was the reason for pirates' love of rum? 🌊⚓

Its popularity among pirates was related to its availability and low cost. On cold nights at sea, high-percentage rum was a great heat source. In addition, it was thought it had medicinal properties for digestive ailments.

We are proud to introduce our champagne - La Garde Écossaise, a wine that celebrates the enduring love affair between our two nations.

Of the many delicious gifts France has given to the world, Champagne is perhaps our favourite, and we have searched extensively to find a hidden gem to be our private cuvée champagne. Scotland has shared a special friendship with our friends across the water for centuries, and our cuvée celebrates that relationship by remembering the remarkable history of La Garde Écossaise - a force of 6000 Scots who travelled to fight with the French in the 14th century. In recognition of their bravery, the Kings of France would name their personal bodyguard La Garde Écossaise Du Corps Du Roi for centuries afterwards.
Produced and bottled for the Leith Export Company by G. H. Martel & Co of Épernay, this wine was selected by our consultant buyer and Master of Wine, Emma Dawson . Produced with a blend of 46% Pinot Noir, 37% Pinot Meunier, 17% Chardonnay, and a dosage of 10 g/l, it has a classic light golden colour with aromas of white fruits like peach and apricot and a gentle citrus note. The delicate ripe stone fruits are there again on the palate, with a hint of green apple and the luxurious brioche character that defines superlative champagne.
