This is the tools we use to assemble our sets of MagCleat Keo shoe holders. All holders are hand assembled at the time of order.

After some feedback from our speedplay beta, some major changes are in the works. The new design is going to feature our first custom laser cut cleat catch from !

The SPD MagCleat originally was designed with vinyl decals. These stickers covered the cleat catch and the magnets. It definitely had the cool factor, however through testing the stickers would rip during install or wear to fast on the magnets.

This is why we ultimately chose the laser marked stainless steel design. The cleat catch would have good contrast to show our logo and the laser etch would stand up to daily wear!

Goal: I hope in the near future to finish my Prusa MK3S+ printer and get my Palette 3 machine working.

Dream: Create fitness themed gym decor and MagCleats with more than one color.

This is a repost from last year, but the maker that inspires me is still my dad. He taught me many “maker” related things, however the most import thing that I learned is regardless of your mood or strength show up and work hard every day!

This is the first ever MagCleat, it did not even have screws to attach it to the wall! First prototype was created at the end of the year in 2020.

I’m working on a Programable Logic Controller (PLC) project after I get orders out in the evening. This project satisfies my passion for electronics and programming as I wind down at the end of the day!

🚀 Nerd Speak: I am building a custom LabVIEW test stand to control a PLC via TCP/IP Modbus. I’m part of a armature rocket team and I am designing the fire control system for a stationary 1000lb rocket engine we are developing from scratch.

There was an expectation that we could print a months worth of parts ahead of time to satisfy our customers with the popular Delta MagCleat. However the reality was when Peloton released the new Alto cycle shoe it did not meet our expectations on it’s fit in the MagCleat. So we had to scrap a small mountain of black MagCleats and replace them is a better enhanced design!

False: This technology has existed for more than 30 years!

However, in the last few years the cost of 3D printers has dramatically dropped in price. This has lowered the bar for not only professionals to own a 3D printer but hobbyists too!

Hey everyone I’m RJ from Fitness Design ENG. This is my second year, last year was a blast and met so many great people.

I design and sell accessories for cycling and organizing fitness equipment.
