Today LATSC had the privilege to work on the Historic Randall Oak in Pointe Coupee Parish. It is the second largest Live Oak recorded in Louisiana, measuring a 141" DBH and 70 feet tall. This week we had a customer call with a Mature Live Oak that had fallen on their garage. The tree failed due to weight, wind, and rain, that worked together with the inclusion to bring the tree down. Recent storms to the Baton Rouge area brought high winds. With the stress of last year’s excessive heat and prolonged drought, our community trees are still recovering.

We had an unexpected find on the Job site. A massive BEE Hive was in this tree! Luckily with a bee keepers help our team carefully moved this hive and transported it to a new safe home. No challenge is to scary for the LATSC team. We are always for conservation of wildlife, and this was a great success. Give us a call at (225)-337-0474

Another happy customer. Louisiana Tree Service loves our clients. We removed a 63”DBH Cherrybark Oak in their yard. It was over 85 feet tall and 45 feet of clear trunk to the first limb!

This big tree was located in the backyard of our customer’s property. A quick count of annual rings at the first scaffold limb showed approximately 95 rings! This means this tree it took approximately 95 years to get 45 feet tall. Total age of this tree is estimated to be 125-150 years old.

Unfortunately this tree experienced multiple limb failures and had to be removed for safety reasons.
