Our last day of service as the Grace Community Fellowship….after the service we had our last business meeting. We had brief speeches and good wishes. It was bittersweet. Although we were not all present, we had all of our members there in spirit because we are a family♥️

Afterwards, some of us went to the Liberty Road Steak & Seafood restaurant for lunch. Pastor Russ enjoyed his crab legs!! 🦀🦀🦀

We are saddened to inform you that we will no longer be meeting on Sundays for worship. This will be our last meeting for worship as Grace Community Fellowship since we will be dissolving.

However, we will continue to have our Tuesday night, zoom Bible study/prayer meetings after our summer break.

“Growing in Grace” Through the ‘Impossible Burger’

Greetings, Everybody.

I hope everyone is enjoying the blessing of the abundant life in Jesus Christ!

By now, we’ve all probably heard of the ‘impossible burger.’ It’s impossible that this burger is not a real meat burger. Well, analogously, I regret to say that we’ve embarked on an impossible journey. We simply will not have time to do justice to Revelation 20 & the Millennium in our two remaining Bible study times. Like the writer of Hebrews, “And what more shall I say? For time would fail me to tell of …”(the voluminous interpretations about the Millennium). Suffice it to say, that tomorrow, we’ll focus on Revelation 20.1-7. Please find our notes & answer key from our previous study on the Book of Revelation, in this email. See in particular the section on Revelation 20. Then, next week, in our last meeting together until September, we will do another ‘impossible burger.’ We will endeavor to scan the entire prophetic timeline from the future or present Millennium to our present day. It should be fun.

“Growing in Grace” - Through the Millennium

“Blessed and holy is the one who shares in the first resurrection! Over such the second death has no power, but they will be priests of God and of Christ, and they will reign with him for a thousand years.”
(‭‭Revelation‬ ‭20‬:‭6‬ ‭ESV‬‬)

Greetings, Everybody.

Tonight, we embark on a challenging exercise in hermeneutics, as we begin our study on the doctrine of the Millennium. It would be a huge understatement to say that there has been some difference of opinion in understanding it. But I have confidence that we will discover light at the end of the clouded interpretive tunnel. Please read Revelation 20.1-7. This is the only place in the Bible in which the Millennium is mentioned specifically. It is, therefore, our primary text for study. From reading these verses, what can you learn about the Millennium, or ‘thousands years?’ What happens during that time? Who is present during the Millennium? Is the imagery figurative or literal? Is it possible to tell if the number for a ‘thousand’ is an actual 1,000 years, or is it a symbolic number only? How can you discern the difference? And stepping back from these 7 verses in Revelation 20, in the bigger picture of redemptive history, why would God ordain a Millennium, and how does it fit, if it does, into the prophetic timeline? Try imagining, just for a moment, a world history without a Millennium. What would we be missing without a literal 1,000 year period?

We all came together, made/brought delicious foods and enjoyed an afternoon of full of peace & fellowship filled with love and many laugh, laughs. ♥️

Felicia, Jessica & I would like to thank all that helped in setting up and everyone that made/brought yummy foods, it will definitely be an afternoon to remember.🎉🥳🎈

There are priorities and then there are priorities. If we were to ask the average person what is the most important thing he/she could do, what do you think the answer would be? Make lots of money? Get a job? Buy a home? Invest in stock? Find a spouse? Have a family? Maybe even find a good church? All of these things are worthy pursuits, within moderation. But if we ask the Lord what is the most important command for us to do, the answer is simple & extraordinary: “Love the Lord your God!” We cordially invite you to join us for worship tomorrow, as we discover the unbounded joy of loving God.
