As the final day to vote is fast approaching, I feel like it's important to arm voters with as much knowledge as possible so that they may make a sound decision on a candidate. I have over 34 years of experience in the assessing field. I know the list of duties below like the back of my hand and have done all of these duties with dedication and integrity in the past. During my time as Floyd County Assessor, our office was frequently acknowledged for the excellent customer service provided. Please give me the opportunity to bring these values and skills back to the Floyd County Assessors Office! Vote for Trish!

Wow! I am overwhelmed by the outpouring of support from so many people! I am still getting requests for signs and swag! I appreciate it all so much!
Election Day is just five days away, I read something earlier that said "The election doesn't start on November 8th. It ends on November 8th. Vote Early"
Early voting is an excellent opportunity to get out and vote and possibly not have to stand in line, get out in bad weather or potentially miss voting due to sickness.

We had a crazy fun weekend at our annual Lake Rudolph Halloween Camp and even got to share in some Christmas Spirit! The purple shirt crew popped into the Santa Claus Christmas Store and Santa's Candy Castle and Santa himself suggested we get a picture! I appreciate all of these gals so much and I am so thankful to have such great supporters.
On our way back into Floyd County we ventured towards Huber's Orchard and Winery to enjoy the last of the music for the day and checked out all the goodies in the market. Finally, we headed home, and stopped in at Puerto Vallarta for a great dinner and more campaigning! If you haven't been to these places, you should go, you will love them all!
Did you know that all of these places mentioned have to pay real estate tax AND personal property tax to their County? And as I've mentioned before, if the Assessor is not experienced and knowledgeable on mass appraisal techniques and personal property assessments, then the assessments may not be accurate and can cause many inequities between assessments and taxes. So, please remember to vote for Trish for Floyd County Assessor!! I have the experience, the knowledge, and the certification to make sure your assement is accurate and fair!

Happy Monday!
Don't forget you can vote early today from 8am-4pm at the 4H Fairgrounds and Valley View Golf Course. I have talked to several people who have already taken advantage of early voting.
For those of us that like to wait until election day, November 8th is only 22 days away!!
As Floyd County Assessor, I will once again make sure that customer service is one of the top priorities in the office. That is one of the great things that my mom, Ruth Badger, instilled in me as I watched her in her many years of service to Floyd County residents. As county employees and elected officials, we are there to serve the public. There are many who need data and explanations from the Assessor's Office on a daily basis. Taxpayers deserve a qualified, competent, and dedicated Assessor that has real experience and can answer all of their questions. I would like to have Assessor Town Hall Meetings, possibly quarterly and in different areas of the county, so that taxpayers can see their property record cards and ask questions about their assessments at a time of day that is convenient for them. We did this when I served as New Albany Township Assessor and it's a great way for the Assessor, the staff, and the public to build a relationship of trust. There is an underserved need for taxpayers to understand the property tax system and I would like to correct this. Please consider a vote for me for Floyd County Assessor and share my platform with your friends and family in Floyd County!

Welcome to my page!
My name is Trish Badger-Byrd. I am running for Floyd County Assessor again. I served as Floyd County Assessor from 2011 through 2018 and have 34 years of experience in the assessing field. My mom, Ruth Badger, served 24 years as Township Assessor so I grew up listening to and learning so much from her about her work. I love the work and I love serving the public.
I have stayed on top of the legislative changes that affect assessments and property tax. I have a thorough knowledge of the laws of assessing and the administration of the software to move things forward more quickly while providing excellent customer service.
I am the only Level 3 Certified Indiana Assessor-Appraiser in Floyd County and on the ballot. I have hands-on experience in the County Assessor’s Office doing mass appraisals since all real estate properties in Indiana are valued using a mass appraisal system.
I have lived in Floyd County all my life. It is where I met my husband of 33 years, Howard, and where we raised our two beautiful daughters, Chrissy and Ashley.
I look forward to serving as Floyd County Assessor once again, but I need all the help and support I can get. Please share my page with your family and friends or just tell them about me. Please feel free to message me any questions you may have, and I will be happy to try to answer them.
Thank you so much for visiting my page! Please like and share!
