Kaiyu Ramen Pop up is coming up tomorrow!
We will be opening from 12pm-2pm for Lunch and 5pm-9pm for Dinner.

As usual, lots of Tonkotsu ramen variations including regular, spicy, black garlic, miso and gyokai will be prepared and our featured “iekei” (家系) ramen will be limited to 20 servings.

***Just for heads up, lunch menu won’t be including gyoza and takoyaki. While for dinner service we will be offering our full menu. It will be cash only and walk-ins are welcome until soup lasts.

Ramen pop up announcement! 😋
Have you made any plans on Family day yet? If not come visit us next week on the 19th, next week MONDAY for either lunch, dinner (or both😉) at Izakaya Tomo! Door is open from 12pm-2pm and 5pm-9pm (or until soup runs out).

We will be featuring the iekei (家系) ramen which is originally from Yomohama in Japan. People go crazy for this type of ramen and I didn’t know why until I tried it on my last trip back to Japan early this year. It requires more than double of bones and meats compared to the regular Tonkostsu we usually serve and naturally it’s so much richer. Just finished the final testing test now and couldn’t be happier with the final products. We are so excited for you to try it! Only 20 servings will be prepared so it’s better to come as soon as you can!

Unfortunately we decided not to take much reservations this time as we would like to welcome more walk-in customers. It was too painful to deny many of the walk-in customers on our last pop up due to fully booked reservations. We will still be accepting reservations for who are visiting us from far, like Calgary ;)

Hey it’s almost that time of the month, once a month Ramen pop up is going to be on the Nov 20th, Monday next week! We’ll be waiting for you at from 17:00-21:00 or until the supply lasts 🥰

This month’s Special is Onomichi Ramen which has originated from ’s hometown👨‍🍳 This famous soy sauce base ramen has few characteristics that distinguishes from any other shoyu base ramen. The floating pork back fat adds extra richness to the soup, the thin flat noodles have good texture and absorb the flavour of the soup really nicely.

Various Tonkotsu ramen, Takoyaki and Hiroshima style Okonomiyaki will be served just like last month.

Hello Friends it’s been a while! Ramen pop up is coming up on Oct 16th MONDAY at from 17:00-21:00!! 🤩

Happy to share with you all that my wife has joined the team to replace the departure of my ex partner Kai. She will be serving her famous TAKOYAKI in the pop up. She has been professional takoyaki maker in many events and there have been long lineups to get the yummy sizzling octopus balls 🐙

As for the ramen, we’ll be featuring Gyokai (Seafood) Tonkotsu ramen.
Regular, Black Garlic and Miso Tonkotsu, will also be available.

Please come check out new and improved Kaiyu Ramen! We’ll be sure to warm up your stomach and your heart ❤️

Kind of a bummer to be making this post, but my time with Kaiyu Ramen has come to an end, as all things do. Things have been pretty hectic in my personal life as well as with my band, and my dedication for making ramen is not the same as it used to be, so I’m stepping down to focus on other things that need my full attention.

With my departure from the business unfortunately my recipes won’t be available for purchase anymore, (handmade noodles, Tonkotsu Ramen, Chicken Chintan Ramen) and the name will be changing, but Yutaro is hard at work figuring out new exciting menu items for you all to try!

It’s been a fun ride! Til next time ✌️

Kaiyuramen’s POP UP will be back on the August 14th, MONDAY NIGHT from 5-9PM! 🍜😆 It will be again at !

We will be featuring this Gyokai (Seafood) Tonkotsu Ramen. This bowl turned out so good I couldn’t help myself to finish the soup till the last drip😳 Unfortunately this bowl will be limited time only since it will be made with ingredients which brought back from Japan.

We will also be serving Regular Tonkotsu Ramen and Chicken/Pork chintan Ramen (clear broth) since they were very popular from the previous pop ups! Stay tuned for side dishes updates 😋

Can’t wait to serve you all soon. We are now accepting reservations! 🫡

Kaiyu ramen POP UP is coming back again at this weekend, 25th Sunday lunch time from 11am-2pm!! 😎🔥

We have been researching and developing Chicken base broth and now it’s ready to go! 40 bowls of Chicken paitan ramen and 20 bowls of Chicken Chintan ramen will be served. We are now accepting reservations. Please DM us to save your seats! ☺️

P.S. We didn’t know chicken ramen can be this good. Depending on the feedback we might consider specializing in chicken ramen 🤔

Thank you all for coming out to our POP UP yesterday! ☺️ Although we could’ve done better with some aspects, it was overall a successful operation despite being our first time. We were so happy to see most of the bowls coming back empty! 🙏

Kaiyu ramen’s first ever POP UP is happening at Izakaya Tomo on the May 21st Sunday!!! 😆👏
We will be opening from 11 am - 2 pm! We will have 50 servings in total and we will take 20 preorders, rest of the 30 is saved for walk-in customers 👍 Book your seats now!!

All the soup is Tonkotsu (pork bone) based and we will have Regular, Spicy, Black Garlic and the Spicy Miso.

THANK YOU SO MUCH for those who ordered our new Tonkotsu Black Garlic! Thanks to your support and feedback, we are able to make better ramen every week. We are happy to announce that our ramen will be customizable to your preferences. More info will be posted soon.

Preorders for Tonkotsu ramen, 20 orders are available for next SUNDAY (Feb 12th)!!

We’re also developing on the new shoyu based ramen called Onomichi ramen which is from ’s home town. Its broth is light yet flavorful, which we make by combining chicken, pork and fish (mainly dried anchovies) broth. 20 preorders are available now for MONDAY (13th) pick up!!

We learned from our mistakes last week and completed this bowl of gyokai (seafood) tonkotsu this week. We are happy with the result however, we will never stop trying to improve our soup based on your feedback. We really appreciate your support! ☺️🙏
