Good evening all, hope everyone had a good day! Have been teaching today, and this leopard was actually chosen by my student to paint, as it has the most beautiful and detailed eyes. Really enjoying painting a as it feels like I haven’t done one in so long.

More work on this today. After working in acrylics only lately, I forgot how impatient I get waiting for oil to dry! 😐

‘Peace on Earth’

I played around with this for a week or so feeling that something was missing. I added things in and then in the end painted back over them, realising it was the simplicity of the painting that I loved about it most. What do you think?

Finally managed to get some painting done and this one finished. Feels like I’ve been painting it for months! Looking forward to starting something new.

Producing a beautiful oil painting is a long process that requires a lot of patience… that I don’t currently have! Dry already so I can glaze! 😆

Nearly there with this one. A bit of glazing and some small adjustments and then I’ll stare at it for a week or so and then I might call it a day. 😆

Love starting something new, and having faith that the end result will meet my expectations! 🤞🏻 😆

Got this piece finished today all but the varnish, along side an abstract. Love it when a day is productive!

New colourful abstract on the way. This is one of those paintings that’s been staring at me unfinished for weeks (like most of my paintings) so today was the day it got some attention!

Got quite a lot done on this today. Still needs some more low cloud cover and a few glazing layers, some adjustments on the water and trees… and then I’m done! 😆

New seascape awaiting varnishing. Makes me miss the sea, I envy those that live by it, you lucky things! 😌

New abstract with gorgeous texture. It’s just waiting for a varnish and is unnamed as I literally can’t think of anything at the moment, but I’m sure something will come to me. 😌

Spent the whole day on this yesterday, I thought it was about time I got it finished as it’s only been about 6 months! 😬 A few more adjustments today and I think I’ve cracked it! 🍾🥳

Keep forgetting to post process on this, so here it is. Still have a little way to go on the tiger and a few more butterflies to add, but hopefully it’ll be done by the weeks end. 🤞🏻

New abstract on the way. Not my usual bright colours, but it’s actually nice to use some neutrals for a change.

I love this part of a painting, literally watching the animal begin to come alive in front of your eyes. It’s just the beginning but looking forward to seeing how this one turns out.

This one is certainly taking its time! 🤣 another week I’d say.
