Ready, Set, MED!: Cagayan State Universityโs College of Medicine Freshmen Orientation and Team Building
CSU College of Medicine held its annual Freshmen Orientation last August 13, 2024. The event was kickstarted by the Dean of the College of Medicine, Dr. Rodina Rivera-Gorospe, MPH. The event was meant to give the incoming 1st year Medical students an overview of their entire stay in the college of Medicine. Aside from the well wishes, and reminders from the Faculty of the College of Medicine, important matters like the University and College Structure, Program Curriculum, Retention Policy, the Student handbook, and Promotional Boards were also discussed by the esteemed members of the Faculty of College of Medicine.
Moments after the orientation, the freshmen participated in their Team Building activity to create an avenue where they are able to form bonds and friendships as they navigate through the rest of their medical school journey.

3/4. Batch Sinugdanan has extended their support to the CSU examinees by handing them small snacks. This thoughtful activity was coordinated by the Medical Student Council and supported by Dr. Marla Attaban.
Dean Rodina Rivera-Gorospe joined the effort, offering words of wisdom and encouragement with the examinees before they entered the examination hall. Her presence and motivational talk added a personal touch to the day.
In addition to Dean Dina's involvement, the event was graced by the presence of Dr. Trician Jan Taguba-Villarosa and Dr. Jordan Callueng, who joined in showing their support and offering well-wishes to the CSU doctors.
Among the countless stories of triumph, there are those that stand out as beacons of hope and inspiration. The journey of a woman battling cancer exemplifies the epitome of courage and resilience. Faced with a formidable foe, she refuses to succumb to despair, and instead choosing to confront her illness with strength and a steadfast belief in her ability to overcome it with the inspiration of "family". With each hurdle she conquers, she becomes a symbol of hope, lighting the way for others to follow in her footsteps.

In a gesture of support and motivation, Batch Talaghay, under the guidance of Dean Gorospe and the COM faculty, presented a small token to their seniors taking the boards in recognition of the magnitude of their undertaking and offering a symbolic reminder of the unwavering support and camaraderie that binds the entire CSU-COMmunity.

Accompanying these aspiring doctors were CSU Medical Student Council and esteemed members of the College of Medicine faculty, including Dean Rodina Rivera-Gorospe, alongside Dr. Trician Taguba-Villarosa, Dr. Kresimir Nadal, and Dr. Jordan Callueng.
With unwavering support and prayers, the College of Medicine Family stands united, fervently rooting for the success of these dedicated Nuang Doctors as they undertake this pivotal step in their journey towards becoming licensed physicians.
