Custom Graphics for Toy Spaceships and Model Kits
All Orders for the week are printed and packed, but I won't get the to the post office until tomorrow. Just letting you know I'm a day late.
I have a lot of messages from the end of last week to this morning. I will do my best to make sure you're message isn't overlooked. I may not be able to be timely with a response.
Little blast from the past!
I was likely rockin' a tandy 286.. in color.
('cuz dad was cool like that).
Still got my floppies... and not the ones you're thinkin' about. :|

**Endeavour Conversion update**
I got the parts printed. I decided to do two separate deflector housings. The insert was no more effort or material than a complete housing. And now you have some extra pieces to spice a different model. You have 3 choices for bussards. And there's that snazzy double lift bridge. (well, i like it.)
Now I need to make some decisions on the the decals. I want to change it up a bit. Offer some more options. Different styles. Maybe some choices like a FJ SFTM type reg, a refit style with the choice of a red or white outline, or no outline, and TOS style. Your choice of two or three style aztecs. I just want it as custom as it can be in a packaged set.
When its all complete and ready to go, I'll do an intro video and explain all the options and pieces.
It's Van Damme Day! ,.. or it should be, anyway.
Its JCVD's birthday. So,.. today, I'll be working "Van Damme" in to my conversation all day. "Van Damme, that a fine sammich!" "Van Dammit! My Foot!!" "Van Damme, you lookin' right, gurl..." "HELL FIRE AND VAN DAMMNATION!!" You get it...
So,.. I challenge you to do some conversational van dammage today.
(lol)
**My apologies to my wife as she'll have to put up with this all day**
*Endeavour Conversion Update*
I redid the deflectors with Robert Morgan's original parts. You'll have a single deflector housing, a refit style dish insert or a TOS insert and a TOS Dish. Total 4 separate pieces with much better detail than the first set. The only thing I did to these pieces was make them interchangeable on single deflector housing. The design is all Morgan. I really dig it.
Sitting straight and pretty...
Ample?
I'll have to get the chief engineer's opinion...
Fit is good!
Also,. since I've been on a minor kick for showing my son the stuff I loved as a kid.. and because I'm a bit of a season ju**ie (Like holiday seasons. You know my people can only handle salt and pepper). We watched Fright Night for a Halloween season kick off. Its got Al Bundy's Neighbor being way to cute for her on screen BF, Roddy McDowell acting like a putz (lol, acting), and Vampers that need an orthodontist but a still observe all the traditions and customs of their kind. A veritable Hoot!! We'll have to watch the 2011 version next.
And he watched the whole thing!
Still can't get that kid to watch Star Wars or Star Trek with me.
For all my DS9 mens ...
Finally back to printing (after almost 2 years) and no I've got some 1000 scale Endeavour conversion kits back on the turntable. I'll do a short run of these,.. then a full kit of something good designed by Robert Morgan.
I found out last week there was a 30th anniversary theatre showing of Ninja Scroll. I was pretty stoked. My HS best friend and I watched this a hundred times on VHS. Its a wonder we didn't destroy the tape. I remember we watched it forever subbed... but it was the dubbed lines I remember (obviously). My people made Jubei a little snarkier (?) and a little funnier. And the villains were a little weirder in the dubbed. Not that they weren'y weird enough already. Maybe not the most appropriate movie to take my soon to be 13 yr old to... but I think he liked it. He certainly paid attention. On the walk out, he said,.. "That guy really got screwed". That's a hero's life, bud.
It was killer on the big screen. Super glad I made the trip to watch it.
Product recommendation. Kleen Strip Brush Cleaner - Used as Air Brush Cleaner
Recently I borrowed airbrushes from my daughter to finish up a model I've that's been sitting on the my desk FOREVER. The model is a 420 scale Defiant that was assembled when I got it. So, no painting parts separately. I wanted to try my hand at some weathering and I've got some detail to paint. So, the airbrush was required. Well, her being a REAL artiste',.. the guns were trashed. Just gunked. I get it. I lived that life. The work has to get made. Everything else is second. She got the Iwata Neo set form Hobby Lobby. She had issues with one gun, so she got another. Anyway, both guns were super dirty, paint dried all in them. All over them, under them, on them... you get me. But, along with the guns, she brought this brush cleaner. Its meant to clean actual paint brushes, like house paint brushes. When cleaning trashed guns I usually soak them in lacquer thinner or break fluid if their stuck. ('cuz there was a time i didn't care for my tools). Usually, I'd end up needing new o-rings as the stuff would sometime gum one up. And that stuff stinks and you really shouldn't used them in the house The Kleen Strip brush cleaner has no odor. Looks like hand soap. Seems really mild. I really didn't think it would work, but it worked pretty danged good. Its certainly not like cleaning in lacquer thinner but after a 48 hr soak and some extra elbow grease on the cups and the rest of the gun wiped clean. I really don't know what paints she was using. I think mostly water based paints. But,.. I was impressed with this seemingly mild cleaner. Easy on my hands, didn't stink. I used it in the house and no one noticed. $9 a quart. I strained the leftover back in to the jug. Overall, I think it good stuff for the price. Especially for the health conscious folks they are all concerned about what the breath in and stuff. Now I'm going to clean all my real brushes!!
Long winded for a review on brush cleaner. But that's how I am. I'm also they guy you can't get away from in conversation. :|
I'll show off the model later. Turning out OK for a junkyard project. And maybe I'll give my opinion on the paint guns, too.
Here's something I've been meaning to do for a while.
I've added White lifeboats and boats with no background for the 1400 Scale Galaxy. They come in a 500 count set.
So, now the lifeboats are available in Tan, Grey, White, and No Background. The No Background option is meant to go on a painted lifeboat. It's really not going to look any nicer than clean painted boats with the detail graphic on top.
All boats with color backgrounds are opaque so you don't have to worry about your Aztecs or other graphics bleeding through.
These are offered with the Galaxy Detail set, the Aztec set, and standalone.
All paid orders are out the door.
Here's some pics of Camron Ware's recent Excelsior build. He helped me test the set. They only issues were a few pieces that I didn't include and a few pieces that dropped from the print. Those issues were addressed. Color looks pretty good on the blue panels. I like it. That last pics shows my current set vs the OG AMT set and the a print of the Pendragon set from Star Ship Modeler. I really like the cuts better on the pendragon set, but its for the ENT B and has to be modified for the Excelsior. Just looks easier to install.
