Mississippi Beach Beekeepers Association

Beekeepers for Harrison & Hancock counties. Sharing buzz knowledge for all. If you see a honey bee swarm, please call us!

Our members provide honey bee swarm relocation services as well as honey bee colony relocation services. We'll find someone that can come and take care of it without killing the bees. Periodically, our members will host a "Hive Crawl". This is a fun event where we will meet in one of our member's bee yards and get hands-on experience working their hives and playing with the bees and then we'll go

Our membership is saddened today to learn of the passing of founding member Don Antie. Don came to beekeeping late in life but pursued it with the energy of a younger person, always eager to learn. He will be missed by our members.

We had a great hive crawl for our April meeting.

Due to all the rain this week, we're postponing our meeting from the 13th to the 20th to give our bee yards a chance to dry out so we can have our hive crawl.

This isn’t a typical farm tour for us, but we couldn’t pass up the opportunity to sit in a real life beekeepers meeting. The Mississippi Beach Beekeepers Association is a new club in the Long Beach area. Beekeepers of all backgrounds and experiences come together each month to share information, tools, and troubleshooting. I was able to speak with three different members about what brings them to the world of beekeeping. We also did a taste test of honeys from all over the country and I was shocked by how different they were. Mississippi Beach Beekeepers Association

Don't forget our June meeting this coming Saturday, 1:00pm at the Pass Christian Public Library.

This will be a very important meeting in the life of our association. We will be going over and adopting the official constitution and bylaws for our association as we become more structured and organized so that we may become official affiliates of the Mississippi Beekeepers Association and give the MS Gulf Coast an additional voice in Jackson for our local beekeepers.
