The page has been quiet but the kids have been working, as we were finishing up our Fire pit fundraiser we were wrapping up stripping the Crown Vic donor car. We then narrowed the frame up in December and January and finally got the body to sit over the new frame. Now onto building body mounts!

The kids have been finishing up the fire pits for the Tech Club fundraiser! They can't wait to wrap it up to get back to work on the car! If you're interested in winning a fire pit join the Willow River Fire & EMS Dept. At their annual raffle this Saturday!

Some of the Tech Club kids made it into school today to try to get started on some projects. We fired up the plasma CNC to start cutting out our Fire Pits for our fundraiser sale. We also shuffled some things in the shop, moving the '46 out to storage until our donor car is ready for the body and moved the donor car, a 2000 Crown Victoria purchased this morning from a nice couple in Hayward who were happy to see it go-to the kids project. For those interested, unfortunately we are already sold out of our first production of 6 fire rings. But be on the watch for another production run coming again later this year!

This year's project! A 1948 Ford Super Deluxe. Some of the kids got together last weekend and drove to Aitkin to look it over and pick it up. They started cleaning it out and removing the glass. Next up deciding on the chassis frame direction, find a donor or replace with something modern. Stay tuned see where we go with it! (My favorite part of the car is the rear window that rolls back or down.)

The Tech Club is getting started on another Rat Rod project for the year! But first here are some pictures from last year's project! 1937 Dodge Brothers Coup channeled on a 1990 S-10 Frame with a Chevy 350 for an engine. We didn't get this one complete before it had to go home with the senior. But we had fun working on it and the kids learned a ton about the process.
