is a lieutenant general in the United States Air Force, who serves as the Deputy Chief of Staff for Operations at the US Air Force Headquarters.
Recently, the 1st Armored Brigade Combat Team, 3rd Infantry Division prepared to face off with the 11th Armored Cavalry Regiment-Blackhorse during Rotation 24-09 at the National Training Center/Fort Irwin. They built combat power, conducted maintenance, rolled out to Tactical Assembly and Brigade Support Areas (TAAs and BSAs) and conducted calibration operations.

The Knight Agoge validated individual training through a mixed-squad competition including an average of 45 miles of rucking over two days, medical lanes, react to contact lanes, weapons assembly/disassembly lanes, along many others.
3rd ABCT, 4th ID is among other units assigned to 1st Cavalry Division proudly serving alongside NATO allies and regional security partners to provide combat-credible forces toV Corps, America’s forward-deployed corps in Europe.

Paratrooper training isn’t for the faint of heart
🇺🇸 U.S. Army’s aspiring airborne soldiers learn how to swallow their fear and “jump out of a perfectly good airplane,” as the Basic Airborne Course instructors are fond of saying.
Over the course of three weeks, students learn the basics of airborne operations, working up from ground school, to jump towers, and finally, five qualification jumps out of a real aircraft.
Only then can they pin “jump wings” to their uniform and call themselves airborne soldiers.
The airborne course trains 13,000 paratroopers per year, including troops from the US Army, NATO Allies and other foreign partners
The 5th Security Force Assistance Brigade - SFAB Medical Advising Team visited the Japanese Ground Self Defense Force’s Medical Service School to hold an exchange on best practices for Role 2 operations.
During this engagement, the JGSDF held a Role 2 demonstration to highlight their capabilities and the 5th SFAB team briefed US Army Role 2 capabilities. The engagement was a mutually beneficial and each team walked away with a better understanding of each other’s medical processes.

At Fort Liberty, they tried out the XM7 Rifle and XM250 Automatic Rifle that are set to replace the M4/M4A1 and M249.
Equipment fielding allows Soldiers to train on new equipment and incorporate different experience levels to enhance combat rigor and training understanding.

3rd Battalion 27th Field Artillery Regiment, 18th Field Artillery Brigade executed a HIMARS Rapid infiltration (HIRAIN) with 145th Airlift Wing. Demonstrating the crew’s combat readiness and lethality by rapidly loading and mobilizing HIMARS onto a C-17 to expertly conduct this dry fire mission.
