Who: Sunlife Financial Advisors & Dr. Todd Baker, Owner and Operator of Fort Macleod Veterinary Clinic

Why: Sunlife Financial will be be discussing different ways that we as future Veterinarians can become financially successful post-graduation, without relying solely on our income. Dr. Baker will be providing us with an insight to how he was able to develop and run a successful MIXED animal practice.

We are now looking for four people to come on board as the new Board of Directors for the VBNC! The positions that need to be filled are:

- President
- Vice President
- Secretary
- Tresurer

If any of these positions interest you please send one paragraph, that includes the following three things, to [email protected]:

1. An introduction of yourself and what position you would like to fill,
2. Why you are interested in business and networking &
3. How your involvement could improve the newest club on campus!

Hello Everyone! We hope the Winter Semester is off to a good start for all of you! We are in the works of setting up our first winter event ever, so bare with us while we iron out the details!

For the time being, every year the SU has awards that they give to various clubs. If we could please ask as many people as possible to follow the link attached and nominate the VBNC for the "Best New Club Award" that would be much appreciated!

We hear that the first event was beneficial and entertaining for many of the attendees so we hope to continue down that path. However, we cannot keep going without your support and involvement, it should only take 5 minutes of your time (and if you want to get sent the answers that the Board used for the two short answer questions DM Vladimir Tadić ). Thank you!!!

P.S. Announcement looking for a new Board of Directors will be going out in the coming weeks!!

SU Clubs - Form Clubs Awards are designed to award excellence in team leadership, service, sustainable practices, advocacy and innovation. Fifteen awards, each valued at $250.00, are awarded each year. The nomination deadline is February 21, 2023 at 4:30 pm.

Thank you to everyone who attended the first event of the clubs existence! Dr. Creelman and Jillian thoroughly enjoyed the evening and are looking forward to coming back! We will plan to have at least 2 events in the new year so look forward to that!

In the meantime, if anyone has any concerns with the first event regarding the food, speakers, topics covered, or anything else, please reach out! We want this club to be a safe space where all perspectives are explored! Have a great evening everyone!

Our first event as the newest club on campus has been approved! It will be held on Wednesday November 23rd from 5pm-7pm at CSB! The guest speakers will be Dr. Cody Creelman from Fen Vet Inc. along with Jillian Carr from Steady Gait Planning! These two companies, and individuals, are our Platinum club sponsors so it would be great to have a big crowd show up in support!! Of course, food and drinks will be included!

The WHY and WHAT for VBNC We as the Board of Directors would like to understand the reason as to WHY you joined the VBNC along with the WHAT you would like to learn as a member through our guest speakers! This will help us lead the club efficiently while answering as many of your questions, and concerns, as possible!
