A lovely commission of a house portrait on its way out today. This one features two tiny cats, which were fiddly but fun to stitch.

I was commissioned to create this blue flamingo motif recently. It’s pretty small at 5x3cm and I used mostly 1-2 strands. The lazy daisies for feathers are my favourite part. I love the challenge of small animals.

Introducing my new and slightly different logo. Now that I’m making masks, book sleeves, tote bags etc. I feel like I needed to make it obvious from my logo that I don’t only sell embroidery. This also means I can get a new stamp!

Plenty of masks on my Etsy now 😷 these all have aluminium nose wires which make them super secure around the nose and great for glasses wearers.

I just had to get more of the midnight birds linen from and this navy sashiko caught my eye too. I’ll be making a few masks with both, but mostly they’ll be used for book sleeves 📖

Pleated Face Masks are on Etsy now ~ £3 +P&P with a range of fabrics available. I do love this damson floral one though! I made one for myself and the fit is lovely.

My first official book sleeve order is going out tomorrow 📚 This is a medium sleeve for paperbacks and small hardbacks in Midnight Birds fabric, with a sky blue lining and navy/gold stitching. I use 3mm felt for the padding so that it gives a lovely snug fit and you know your books are safe. These are now available on etsy in medium and large. More fabrics will be available throughout this week! ♻️ P.s. all my fabric/felt scraps get cut up and used as stuffing for other things I make.

Felt decorations available £5 each or 3 for £12

12” family tree commissioned by a close friend as a Christmas present for her nan. I started this beauty a longer time ago, but put it on hold for a while, and I’m really glad I did because I’ve improved a lot in that time. I didn’t keep track of how many hours went into this hoop, but I’d guess it’s upwards of 50. Family tree custom orders will be available on my Etsy store soon, starting at £60 for 6” hoop with maximum 6 names, up to £120 for a 12” with a maximum of 22 names.

Another custom order finished and sent. I made two of these Harry Potterthon hoops for a customer and her friend who would usually have a Potter film marathon this time of year. I think the addition of felt appliqué for the lightning bolt, snitch and wand, the white painted wooden owl, and the use of metallic silver and gold really make this design special. Oh and the tiny bit of cotton I glued onto the glasses - I know Harry’s glasses are only broken for like 20 minutes if HP1, but it’s kind of synonymous with his character.

Can’t beat the feeling of knowing something you made has found a home halfway around the world. Woodland Woman has found some friends in New Orleans.

Not only do I use recyclable packaging, but I also have biodegradable bubble wrap! When you get your order, you can stick this stuff in a composter, or just throw it in the bin safe in the knowledge that it will simply disintegrate back into the earth 🌎 ♻️

This 12” house portrait commission was very well received by my customer this week. These make great presents. I can do house portraits in smaller sizes too, but you do lose some of the detail. Prices start from £40 for a 6” hoop, going up to £80 for a 12” like this.

Just cut a load of new fabric stock. I’ll be updating my Fat Quarters on Etsy later today.

Sometimes the simplest design create the most impact. I love this custom order. And I was able to start and finish it in one morning.

Christmas Boxes are ready for posting! These sold really well on pre-sale, which meant I could get all the stock together earlier than planned. There are still some left for sale (link in bio) and they include plenty of goodies for £21.99! There’s at least £25 worth of goods if sourced and purchased individually.

This has to be one of my favourite custom orders. Totally unique and original design to hang on the door of a games room.

Finally got round to finishing this beach scene hoop.

Painted treasure chest, perfect as a stocking filling or as an alternative to a stocking. Fill it with little gifts and treats. Hand painted and waxed for a beautiful finish. £15 + P&P.

Mystery box fans, I’m doing something different for my Christmas box. In order to give you the best supplies possible, maintaining quality and quantity, I’m releasing 20 pre-orders for bumper Christmas themed supply boxes. The only mystery here is how you could resist!

These boxes include 5 cotton samples (that’s enough for 5-15 hoops!), 7 skeins of DMC, 2 hoops, a black Frixion pen, a Christmassy needleminder, beads for decoration, a pair of gorgeous Victorian style scissors, 2 printed templates for tracing AND some extra little goodies.

If the pre-orders sell out, I will order more stock in order to make up more boxes.

If you’ve bought from me or know me at all, you’ll know by now that I’m not about making massive profits. The higher price compared to my previous boxes reflects the volume of supplies included. It’s great value for money.

I jumped on the Monstera chain. Fairy lights added for that seasonal feel.

He did have pupils but in my haste to finish, they were tragically sawn off 🎃
