Hey everyone! Kickoff has officially begun! For those of you that don’t know, I’m raising money with my team for Leukemia & Lymphoma Society’s Student of the Year program.
LLS funds leading edge research for every type of blood cancer, and has helped advance 85% of the blood cancer treatment options FDA since 2017. In the Policy and Advocacy space, LLS works to accelerate the development of new treatments for cancer while breaking down the barriers to care that patients often face. For example, The Impact Research Grant offers clinical trials and allows access to therapies and treatments to underserved patients. Finally, LLS provides patient support in the form of suggested readings, peer support groups, caregiver support, as well as financial support.
Cancer shows no mercy. It hits all communities young and old. With that though, it connects us and fuels our collective fight to find a cure.
