I’ve been teasing this bag in my stories for weeks and I finally finished but I didn’t get a chance to take pictures until this weekend..

This tote is all about color and contrast and im here for it. Love the colors, the strap connectors, and the shape. I ❤️ all the details in this bag.

I’ll put it up on the website soon, but DM if you are interested …

So excited my donation of a handmade special edition helped raise $100 for the United Way at the charity auction at work. I’m so thrilled to be able to contribute to the theme of the event in my own way.

I’m On the search for the perfect lunchbox. I found this kit during Shophop last month and I was intrigued by the zipper and its installation. So I thought I would give it a try since the kit came with insulbrite, webbing, and even a little plastic base insert. But I wasn’t happy with the construction method so I made a few changes. I wanted the base to be flat and I added extra interfacing to make it sturdier. I’m happy with the results. The lunchbox is so wide and perfectly fit my Tupperware containers plus all my lunch snacks. I love how the zipper tape is wide enough to add a little extra binding or decorative touch.
I also like that it’s washable. Let me know if you would like to see more lunch totes.

Visualizing! When I bought this fabric years ago I knew I wanted to make this for my sewing room someday. Now that I’ve been in my new space a while, it was finally time.
My LQS quilted the 2 yard for me and it made the project come together so quickly. I love the quilting in this! The texture is Devine! I had enough main fabric to complete the cover for my juki and my coverstitch, but my serger for the scrappy treatment. I think all three covers look great. I improvised on the coverstitch and serger, not following the pattern exactly. One of them has a little handle. And the pockets keep the manuals and accessories safe to the corresponding machine. I love how my sewing space is coming together. It’s my happy place.

While visiting Playa del Carmen last week, we walked past the chapel located on the center of town. I noticed a booth outside attended by nuns selling Mexican embroidered tops. So of course I stopped and bought one as a souvenir. The nun said they were made by the nuns just near by, but it wasn’t until I got home that I noticed the construction. It is HANDMADE. I wanted to share in appreciation of the craftsmanship that goes into a top like this. It may appear simple but notice how well the stitches are evenly done. Hem is secured with a running stitch. The backside of the embroidery looks as neat and even as the front.
I will treasure this top because I can appreciate the skill, dedication, and time that went into creating it . As I hope others will do with my handmade creations.

Also, I added some pics of my that I’ll take with me. It’s very travel friendly as it packs up quite nicely.
Pattern from using fabric line from a few years ago. I love this organizer and I think it would be useful for so many other travel needs.
