Thanks so much to everyone who has sent kind messages, shared our posts for the fundraiser and donated money to the gofundme. After 1 day we are 60% of the way to our goal! Please take a minute to share the fundraiser for Donna if you haven’t yet done so and share my posts from Vanchetta and help me get the word out about Wednesday night. About Wednesday- When Rooster was working with me he had told me at one point how he wanted us to remember him and that was a meetup and bar crawl to some of his favorite places around town.

We are starting off the night with a special fundraiser at Cage Brewing and Vanchetta Food Truck. I’m doing a limited menu of some of Roosters favorite stuff and it’s all incredible. All proceeds after food cost are getting donated and Cage Brewing is donating part of every drink sold as well. So if you had plans to eat dinner Wednesday please, please come visit us.

🐔 The Rooster- Crispy fried chicken sandwich on brioche with fresh dill pickle chips and roosters own sauce. Served with fresh cut fries

🥗 Veggie Loaded Fries - This was roosters invention and it’s literally one of the best things served at the truck 😁 Fresh cut fries, grilled mushrooms, onions and peppers, provolone cheese, spicy tomato sauce, aioli and hot giardiniera. (Can also be vegan if ordered that way)

🥪 Porchetta ‘N’ Sauce - Roosters favorite sandwich- Porchetta, provolone, spicy tomato sauce and hot giardiniera on toasted Cuban bread. Served with fresh cut fries.

All three will be priced at $13 and my fundraising goal for the night is $2000. Please grab a friend and bring them, get one to stay and one to go, buy two and eat like a monster etc.

After Cage head to the Emerald (Bush and a Fernet) and finally the Galley/Ships hold (🐻👊s)

The Galley is going to make a post later today but I know there’s gonna be some live music and fundraising happening there too.

Please make plans to get home safely with a designated driver or Uber ❤️

SOL Family,

This is not a post that anyone ever wants to do but we know it is the right thing to do. Elijah and I have made the difficult decision to close SOL Burger at this time. While we truly hope that the future holds different things for SOL Burger, right now we know that this is the best decision.

The last 16 months would never have been possible if it weren’t for each of you. You’ve watched us succeed and struggle. You’ve been understanding while we’ve learned how to navigate restaurant ownership with parenting. We appreciate your encouragement while we worked for what was right and fair in our town, all while growing this business and a family. Thank you for being the very best community that our family could ask for. We hope that we’ve inspired you to chase your dreams regardless of what life may hand you.

Please know that we hope this isn’t goodbye forever. We will always be the burger hustlers peeking into empty restaurant windows and scoping out other food trucks, with dreams of what could be, one day, for all of this. Thank you from the bottom of our crazy entrepreneurial hearts.
