Due to the potential for some icy road conditions in the morning from re-freezing, Greater Clark County Schools will be on a 2-hour delay tomorrow, Monday, Feb. 7.
Due to the number of staff members currently in quarantine and absent, Parkwood Elementary School will move to eLearning for Friday, January 14. This affects Parkwood Elementary School only and is currently only for Friday.
The eLearning will be asynchronous, so teachers will not be doing live online lessons. We hope this will allow for more flexibility for our students and their families. After school practices will be canceled for Friday.
A free meal will be available for pickup on Friday from 11 am to 1:00 pm at the kitchen door (Door 3). Staff will be on hand to deliver meals to your car. This service is only available for Parkwood Elementary students.
We realize this is an inconvenience to many and this decision was not made lightly. We will re-evaluate the situation as the week progresses. Please continue to check your emails for the latest updates.
Thank you to everyone for your continued support during this time. We look forward to having our students back in the classroom soon.
Good Evening,
As you may have heard, the district just made the call that we will be elearning tomorrow due to the threat of inclement weather. An assignment will be posted on Google Classroom by 8:00 a.m. tomorrow morning for students to work on. Since we did not know we would be going to elearning tomorrow, students' devices are still at school. I understand that this can create a hardship for students to complete their work, and I do not want it to be something stressful for you tomorrow. If you have a device they can use, great! If not, I will make up the gaps when we are back in person.
Once the first grade team has completed making the assignment for tomorrow, I will send you the link via email as well in case you do not have your child's log in info at home.
If you have any questions for me, please do not hesitate to ask.
Sincerely,
Mr. Harper

Dear Parents/Guardians:
We are seeing an increase in the number of students who are arriving late to school. Just as a reminder, our doors open at 8:40 and students are expected to be in their classroom ready to learn by 9:00. To help with this, please be sure that students are dropped off by 8:55. We appreciate your efforts to ensure that your kids are arriving to school on time.
Thank you!
