Have you visited Huddart county park? Although it doesn’t have panoramic views it has nice shaded trails. 📍Location: San Mateo 🚶‍♂️Trail: Crystal Springs and Dean Trail (~5 miles). 😅 Difficulty: Moderate 🧢 Mostly shaded 🚗 $6 parking fee inside the park that opens at 8am. Bring cash as they have envelops and a bin for collecting money 🐶 Dogs are not allowed ✨Good for any season, nice park to hike in summer. This trail has few turns and well marked. It’s a good trail for runners as well. You can also use your national park pass here but still need to make a parking reservation. If you come without a reservation you are very likely not able to get in to the park. If you are able to come early, there’s another option to park at Pantoll campground for $8 fee and enter the park from the other side. Check the trail info at Altrails app for more details. 🐶 Dogs are not allowed ✨ Mostly there’s no signals in the park. The trail is well marked but it’s always a good idea to keep downloaded Alltrails map. There’s a cafe, gift shop and restrooms at Muir woods entrance. The boardwalk from Muirwoods entrance is pretty crowded but farther away it’s peaceful and quiet.
