I painted this 🫶🏽 .

Reminded me to re-share that I paint murals too , as my wonderful client shared this. This is painted in the master bedroom / bridal suite bathroom.

I ended up suggesting this, For this space , as the owner had found an old piece of hand painted wallpaper in there , and I felt we should have a nod towards the history of the house , but in a a slightly more modern, but magical way , that brought the unexpected to an incredible space .

My help doesn’t always mean we have a complete overhaul, my recommendations can be little tweaks or nudges in the right direction.

To kind of break it down what I’ve done here , we added a splash of paint (and I hope this demonstrates to you , not to be afraid of colour ). This blue really brightens and modernises the feel of the diner attached to the kitchen .

So, so pleased my client trusted me on the colour choice . I know it can be daunting , but trust me ♥️

I’ve added curtains (that aren’t necessarily meant to be used as curtains) . I know that sounds weird . But the use of this from ceiling height , really lengthens the room, and adds the much needed ‘warmth’ to the room.

A subtle , but dramatic difference of stripping back the table , and use of different chairs , really syncs the space.

The addition of more shelving doesn’t make the room feel smaller , but added much needed space for my client.

I also recommended a radiator cover , which would have made the space more cohesive , however I will never force anything.

There are a few other tweaks I’ve done , but we could be here all day.

My first shoot was from before I’d even ‘said yes’ to the bridal boutique. I was trying to decide if I was ready for a complete career change and Gill (the previous owner of Bridal Reloved Caistor) invited me along to see what this wedding business is all about.

I was so fortunate as it was organised by the lovely Lisa of Lincs Weddings fame! She’d pulled together an incredible group of women to showcase the gorgeous Stockwith Mill

Needless to say, I’d found my calling and my tribe and I’ve been a proud member of Lincs Wedding Directory ever since.

A little secret I’ve been keeping : , “Mum , I’m on the television 📺! “

Extremely proud to say my work got featured today on on

I worked with ; Naomi on the interior design of two of the guest bathrooms ; one being the honeymoon suite featured.

Part of my suggested design was a hand painted mural in tribute to some original hand painted wallpaper that had been found whilst renovating, which I ended up painting myself - and I am so delighted with how it turned out ♥️

Will fill you in over the coming weeks over the shape it took, now I’m allowed to share properly!

Common misconceptions about Interior Designers :

They cost a fortune and you’ll never be able to afford one. NOT TRUE - I’m making it my mission to turn this on its head and tell you I’m here to help you save money by helping you spend your money more wisely , where you should spend the big bucks , and where you can absolutely make cut backs.

That they’re up their own arses. NOT TRUE - I’m just like you , I adore getting to know you and in fact I mostly like to come away as a friend than just someone you did business with. I care.

That you’ll get forced into making decisions you don’t want to make - NOT TRUE. Obviously if that’s the service you want and need - and you want to be told what to do , I absolutely can as I’m always confident in my designs , but it’s a two way thing , I’m their to guide , nudge , unpick ideas and impart my knowledge to give you confidence in the long run too.

Top Tips from an Interior Designer : save this for future use!

If you swipe on this photo , you’ll see the before shot of this space in my clients bedroom.

Some of my top tips I’ve done here for you to achieve the results you need:

Curtain length - always start the pole / track as high up as you can , and have curtains to the floor if possible - it really heightens the room / makes the space feel bigger

Use a professional framer (I always use who are the best value I’ve found (and I have a cheeky discount code if you order through me working with you)

Don’t be afraid of colour - it can sometimes make the space feel bigger - not smaller like a lot of people are afraid of - here we took the paint onto the skirting too- which again adds to the height of the room and making it feel bigger.

Shop around ! This chair was a bargainous £80 , and I think you’ll agree looks a lot more expensive than that.

How do you come up with your designs for me?

I like to get to know you - follow you on social media (if you have it ) in the least creepiest way, come round to your home / office / a place you spend a lot of time. Hang out with a cuppa / coffee (I’m a coffee snob though soz). I like to hang out and try not to make it really formal to be honest. I mean, sometimes I might ask some direct questions , but a lot of things I try and take in , indirectly ; a huge part of my job is to peer into your brain and unlock / unpick what you want.

From there , I generally can get a good grasp of where to go with the inspiration too.

One of my recent clients boyfriends , asked her if it was actually me suggesting the furniture options , as they were so like her - could not ask for a better compliment than that!

I PROMISE I’m a lot more affordable than you think.

I specialise in affordable interiors , but that don’t LOOK affordable . Yep. Bigging myself Up, but it’s true !

To be honest - the sooner the better - I have access to exclusive discounts , plus with my expertise I can help direct on where to really spend your money , and find those key pieces / stop you making costly mistakes!

I pride myself on being able to jump into any project , at whatever point you’re at - maybe you’re on plans , maybe you’ve started a room and can’t quite nail the finer details, maybe you just have zero time and want me to tell you what to do , and where to buy from.

This photo from one of my latest projects , the client , who had impeccable style anyway, had zero time, had already purchased the fire , but knew they wanted it to be sorted ASAP and marry with the rest of their home.
