Reliable sources have it that latest developments in President Museveni’s campaigns have left him terribly annoyed. He called an abrupt security chiefs meeting to discuss how deeply unpopular he is, and to decide on the fate of his strongest opponent, East Kyadondo MP Robert Kyagulanyi (Bobi Wine).
Following his campaigns in Arua and Mbale (where he passed and no one even bothered to look at him) Museveni grilled his generals about why Northerners and Easterners have quickly picked interest in Bobi Wine. Even when Museveni claims, “they used to be my supporters.”
During the meeting, Museveni called on his generals to ‘panel-beat’ what he termed “pollution of north by Bobi Wine.” At the same time, the angry president was accusing his son and his adviser Muhoozi Kainerugaba for failing to execute Bobi Wine on the night of 18th august 2018 in Arua.
“Why didn’t you finish him that night in Arua when you found him in the Hotel!” he berated Muhoozi. “It would have been a closed case now, and in the future!” the furious Museveni pointed a finger at his son.
Museveni later stated that Bobi Wine’s massive support - even when he had been badly hindered by the security chiefs - and the challenges of handing over power to his son Kainerugaba presented two major problems in current Uganda politics.
President Museveni emphasized that even if the elections have to be rigged, the following situation would be very precarious and the power transfer would be very difficult, “because as of now I cannot concede to a drug consumer, you need to tell me what is on the plan,” Museveni fulminated to his generals who looked to lack options on how to proceed.

The embarrassed Muhoozi took the floor with a lot of apologies and made a number of suggestions to conceal his humiliation. One of them relating to how the late, former prime minister of Pakistan, Benazir Bhutto was assassinated during campaigns.
“My proposal is to finish this young man in the ongoing campaigns and frame it on an unknown assassin. We would just push a narrative that Bobi Wine has been killed by a discontented fellow,” Muhoozi Kainerugaba suggested.
He further stated that on top of denying Kyaguranyi access to radio talk shows (So far, he has been blocked from addressing Ugandans on thirteen radio stations across the country) they will apply tactics to block his campaigns, trailing him everywhere including Hotels where he plans to spend nights at the same time deploy camouflaged commandos donned in plain clothes for “mission execution.”
“We shall continue to mount blockades barring him to travel to his campaign venues which will compel him to use challenging routes; there, he will be very prone to our attacks. By doing so, he will not only use lengthy routes to his campaign venues, but he will also reach late in the nights where he cannot easily assemble his supporters,” said Kainerugaba.
“With him being fond of standing on the rooftop of his car, we shall employ snipers and on any given opportune moment we shall take him down, Your Excellence!
“All our riflemen will be in plain clothes under unmarked cars, and this, Sir, will be a successful mission,” explained the First Son. (Our sources said that the prepared commandos will shoot him using a pistol).
The meeting later resolved that nothing will prevent elections from taking place. Chaos will continue to be the order of the day, mobilizers and sympathizers of Bobi Wine will continue to be picked, imprisoned and killed until the opposition camp is completely weakened!
