We are so excited to have our student teachers go out for this semester! What advice or words of encouragement do you have for them?

We always love seeing the great things that our alumni, like Answers Academy administrator Renee Hodge, are doing! We are excited to see how God is going to use this beautiful new facility to advance His kingdom.

The BJU School of Education and Human Services wants to wish all of you a Happy New Year! We are looking forward to all that God is going to do in 2024.

We are so proud of our Educational Studies seniors who presented their capstone project last night. They did so well!

We had a wonderful time celebrating this great group of student teachers and all of their hard work throughout this semester. We are so excited for the ways that God is going to use each one of them as kingdom-minded difference makers.

Some of our students got to tour the Meyer Center for Special Children today. They provide education and therapy to children with disabilities. We enjoyed getting to meet the staff and children as well as seeing their beautiful facilities. We were able to bring them tools made from our 3D printers that they could use to help teach these children.

One of our community arts students, Danae Willis, helped the BJA art teacher Miss Mehus decorate a BJA Christmas tree downtown at the Hyatt for a school competition.

We appreciate our partnership with Bob Jones Academy. Today many of our Freshmen education majors visited elementary, middle and high school classes. We love and support solid, thoroughly Christian education and are glad our students got a chance to observe these influencers in action!

Our students had a great time working with these children at YouthBASE!

Some of our students got to go over to Bob Jones Academy and observe middle school classes. Afterwards, they got to have great conversations with these teachers about what they observed.

Dr. Batdorf and Mrs. McCrum helped our Teaching Early and Elementary Science class simulate a 2nd/5th grade ecology field trip to Paris Mountain State Park, where they learned about ecosystems and the water/land relationship. What a great time of year to explore our God’s creative handiwork!

Congratulations to BJU SOEHS alumnus, Dr. Brodie Bricker. Dr. Bricker is one of six 2023 inductees into the Greenville County Schools Hall of Fame. He began his career in education at Wade Hampton High School in 1968, where he served as a social studies teacher and the school’s first soccer coach. A year later, he became an Assistant Principal and would go on to be the Principal at Eastside High and Carolina High before he was named Area Superintendent for Southwest Area Schools in 1988.

Congratulations to BJU SOEHS alumnus Dr. Brodie Bricker for being inducted into the Greenville County Schools Hall of Fame.

Dr. Brodie Bricker is one of six 2023 inductees into the Greenville County Schools Hall of Fame. He began his career in education at Wade Hampton High School in 1968, where he served as a social studies teacher and the school’s first soccer coach. A year later, he became an Assistant Principal and would go on to be the Principal at Eastside High and Carolina High before he was named Area Superintendent for Southwest Area Schools in 1988.

BJU Online Degree Named in Top 10 Master's in Music Education Programs The Bob Jones University School for Continuing, Online and Professional Education’s (SCOPE) Master of Music Education program has been named in the top 10 by Forbes Advisor Education.

Today was a blessing! So many community partners worked together to make the Washington Center Challenge Day possible. We can’t wait for next year!

"This week I had a pretty big 'light-bulb moment.' I realized this week that I think God is leading me to be a teacher. Going into this class I hadn't ever really thought about it. Today, when I was helping the girls, it just kind of hit me that this is what I love to do. I love helping people. I love having a positive impact, and I love children. I have been praying about God's plan for my life for a while now, and I really believe that this is what He may have planned for me!"

We were thrilled to give the Jonna Carper Christian Educator award to Nina Gasparik! The award is given to a junior education major who has modeled Christlike behavior in his or her demeanor, relationships with others, and educational endeavors. The award also includes a scholarship from the Jonna Carper Scholarship Fund.
