Subject: Quick Reminder for Payment of
Graduation Fees.

Dear members, ample greetings to you.

With reference to the aforementioned subject matter, I'm pleased to notify you that we have sat on 15th December 2023 as a committee and the leadership of Akok Mayieldit youths Association pertaining the upcoming Honorary Graduation Ceremony.

As we made deliberation on the closeness of the event and resources mobilization which was trusted on us as a task, we realized and concluded that more needs to be done. Majority of the Graduands have not paid their contributions money and we are already time back.It's in this regard that I'm writing to inform those who have not paid their dues to promptly do it in this coming week for we have a lot of things to be done here before we move home.

We therefore, resolved that the contribution will end on 24th December 2023 as we will not be able find any person after Christmas and anybody who will not meet that dateline will not be considered.

Not only that, the transportation for Graduands lies on oneself. The Committee or the Association will not be able to transport the people due to lack of financial support from well wishers. Note, we did the assessment and made calculations for land transport, one passenger from Juba to Tonj is 45,000 SSPs. Therefore, 50,000 going and 50,000 coming is 100,000 SSPs per each, that's 2 ways ticket. This, we are unable to provide for we may not meet the requirements stated earlier which are necessary for the Graduation. For this reason, the committee and the leadership of Akok Mayieldit youths Association resolved that the ticket on individuals' pockets.

Nevertheless, the date for graduation has been set to be on the 3rd of January 2024 and all of us should be at home on the 30th of December 2023 or on the 1st of January 2024 for briefing and to be waiting for the invited Guests. We are inviting H. E. Kuol Muor, Governor of Warrap State, two other ministers and the Commissioner of Tonj East County.

OBITUARY NOTICE!!!
On the evening of Monday, 18th of September, 2023, an unestablished assassin opened fire onto moving motorcycle carrying Matoto Bol Akol and Marop Golong Marialdit, in their trial to exit Ngapagok Market for home.

The Assailant managed to have the two dead immediately and ran.

As efforts were placed in by those nearby to stop and identify him, he aimed the gun at them; making the good Samaritans desert him, eventually escaping without notice.

On such a tragic incident, the office of Akook-Mayieldit Youth in Juba calls on all community members, relatives and family members of the departed souls to observe calm and allow the government to pursue the perpetrators as there are presumed criminals.

May the souls of our departed brothers, Matoto and Marop continue to rest in eternal peace.

To the students recently admitted at Upper Nile University, the registration for first year students has started today, 13/9/2023.

What follows the night is obviously the day. So; after the dark shall come light. It's just two nights ago that the Community of Akook went into dark times with the lost of our brother Ustaz John-Mark Wutchok Mayen Mawien, but here comes the time to seek the light of education.

Although we are mourning, it's equally important to encourage the young generation that is taking the journey of education that had claimed one of us(Mark).

Among those that are going to sit for Senior Four Examinations, are some who were taught by Late John-Mark himself. The only way they could pay him tribute, is by excelling in education; most especially in this forthcoming Examinations.

We therefore should stand together in wishing these candidates of Akook-Mayieldit to brilliantly win this race.

Obituary Notice!!!

It's with trembling fingers and rolling tears that the Office of Akook-Mayieldit Youth Association in Juba is announcing the incidental and untimely death of our brother, Ustaz Mark Wutchok Mayen Mawien, who passed away yesterday, the 17th of March, 2023.

The community of Akook and the family of Mayen Mawien have lost a great personality and asset.

However; we should all take courage as a community and members of family to look after his close family.

It's always "God's given, God's taken!"

It might be surprising for some of our members that Akook-Mayieldit Youth Association in Juba has been quiet for some good time without any activity or update on any ongoing plan. It's indeed so.
The jeopardizing moment came following a series of crises in our community like the incidental imprisonment of Deng Ngong Deng Mathieec, owing the escape of a Darfurian with $10,000 that was mobilized in his trusteeship, as well as the emergency air lifting of Nyandony Malok Dengdit to Khartoum for medical attention; which all placed our entire community in misery of making the ends meet.

The then planned programs by the association couldn't be followed up and executed because there were other priorities we all needed to settle.

It's for such reasons that the Executive body would like to inform the entire membership that sooner than later, we would knock at your door, telling you about the partaking events, asking for your hands and eventually laying forth the implementation modalities.

We wish a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year in advance!

URGENT INFORMATION!!!

The Office of Akook-Mayieldit Youth Association in Juba would like to inform the members that there are freely offered trainings by Bhar El Jebel Academy for Science and Technology in collaboration with Sudan People Liberation Movement (SPLM) National Youth League. All interested applicants are advised to urgently register for the program.

Courses offered include Journalism, Aviation and First Aid Delivery.

The duration of the training for each course shall be three (3) months and the participants shall be awarded certificates.

Eligibility for admission is a Senior Four Certificate, its equivalent or above.

The dateline for registration is today, Friday 6th of May, 2022, at Khor-Williang SPLM-NYL Club Office, behind Suk-Jadiid, after Giada.
Despite the close dateline, you can contact the Chairperson of Akook-Mayieldit Youth Association in Juba @ 0927878797, for possible chances of inclusion after dateline.

Venue of training remains as Khor-Williang SPLM-NYL Club Premises in Suk-Jadiid.

Update on the meeting of Sunday, 1/May/2022.

Firstly, the office would like to give thanks to all the members who attended the main event of Constitution review and passing. We didn't have a constitution, but now we have a Law.

Within the constitution, the name of the body was passed as "Akook-Mayieldit Youth Association in Juba." The word 'Union' was substituted 'Association.' The resolution came after the reasoning that "Associations make up Unions, and unions finally bring about Federations." Since we are Akook Youth only, but not united with youth from other communities or associations, we are supposed to be under an association.
From that day to infinity, we shall be known as "Akook-Mayieldit Youth Association in Juba."

Following the above change, the name on the logo will soon.

Like anyone might have noticed, the name of this page has already changed, due to the above reason.

The office would also like to let the members know that there is an email where we can share more things that can't be possibly shared on Facebook. Send your concerns through [email protected].

One important notice, and just a reminder to those who attended; all members are asked to present their programs thought useful and beneficial to be implemented by the association. These will be cross-checked together with the programs the executive committee might have thought. All potentially beneficial programs will be passed by the general assembly.

The Office of Akook-Mayieldit Youth Union-Juba would like to inform the members that the meeting which was scheduled for tomorrow, Sunday 24th of April 2022, has been adjourned to Sunday, 1/5/2022.

It has been realized that majority of our members have attended today's wedding ceremony of Achuil Dhol Achuil, the son of one of your daughters, Awut Deng Achuil. This will eventually end in many people reaching home late, and won't be able to rise early tomorrow as so required by the meeting.

On the above note, the agendum of the meeting is Constitutional review and passing. This requires ample time, but not half of the day.

Additionally, the venue needs to be prepared by a committee, but the committee is heavily exhausted with the work of the wedding.
