My A320 Cockpit
I'm building an A320 Cockpit in my office.. totally worth the lack of space!
Captains side hodgepodge panel
Dark Version!
MCDU assembled and backlit! Panel courtesy of the wonderful team at Homecockpits.fr!
First MCDU test successful! Just have to add the status LEDs & wait for the keycaps to 3d print to align with the buttons!
First panel coming to life!
We have some displays!
And we’re back! I know it looks the same, but significant resizing of things had to be done to get everything to line up.. so here we go!
Yes, I'm still alive.. had to have surgery on my wrist to remove a cyst, so construction has been on hold while it heals, but it should resume shortly!
Overhead is in place!
Main Instrument Panel coming together!
Overhead panel frame arrived this morning from www.homecockpits.fr Test fit all the panels, looks GREAT! All wiring still yet to do!
Start of the Main Instrument Panel
Shell Frame installed!
Carpeting 90% done, frame starting for the shell
First flight around Orlando!
Floor laid, laying out the carpet tiles
For scale, that square piece of carpet is 1ft x 1ft 😳
Pre-Floor
Gate 47A at LAX.. :)
FCU logic board
FCU LED/Backlight panel almost complete.
FCU backlight/LED panel in progress
Projector Realness!
Master Logic Board for the FCU, both EFIS panels, wings, and Glareshield dimmers for panel & displays.. ironically, the small connector in the second pic labeled interface is all that's needed for all the control signals & indicators on all the boards. Yay multiplexers! :)
Wing, EFIS, and FCU panel backlights/display/switch panels
MCDU: Some assembly required.
Projector Clearance checks, and floor placement
Screen frame is up!
Mini-Korry buttons for the FCU & EFIS panels.. 3d printed frame, holds the custom PCB in place, button fits on top, is held in place by the pcb & the outer panel itself.
