Preserved Pendents- Resin Art

Hey friends!
This month (December 2022) will be my last month having a booth at - my health has taken a huge turn for the worse the last while & I now have permanent nerve damage in my right hand, and absolutely no feeling in my index finger anymore- which is my dominate hand. I have had to make lots of major life changes- being able to keep up doing resin just wasn’t able to happen with all the nerve damage in my neck, shoulder, arm and hand.
I love the little community I have built here & am not ready to fully say good-bye to resin yet so this account will stay up for the foreseeable future for me to post the odd thing I make here & there- or to even just scroll to see what you all are up too once in a while!
I wanna thank each & every one of you for all your support, love, & creativity you have all brought into my life in one way or another. I appreciate it beyond words.

With every Etsy order over $35 (before tax & shipping) I throw in a free, random magnet! I try to match the colour of the magnet to something in your order as well; it doesn’t always fully work out that way but they’re all pretty cute anyways✨ ||

I had SO much over stock on my shelf before Christmas that I had to stack some of my art (which made me very nervous) so I’ve been letting some of that clear out before I figure out what new products I want to bring in!

Canada’s shipping is so expensive that I find some items aren’t worth listing on Etsy, especially after some of the other fees come out as well, which is why I haven’t decided if they will be available there yet or not.

A botanical mushroom ring holder😍
I love the 3D molds for the little worlds I can build inside them- however I’m still having major issues with bubbles so I’ve been looking for a new type of resin to use for my 3D pours🌿

First time using a ‘3D’ mold!
This little rose ring holder is a bit bubbly because I think the batch of resin I finished up in the tip was a bit old & starting to gel up. I cracked open a brand new gallon for the bottom layer pours & it was so much easier to work with. I’ll be doing a couple more practise pieces of these & then I’ll have some available in my shop! I will also be able to offer custom ring holders if you wanted me to preserve a rose or flower from a special event!🥰🌹

this one is super simple because I threw it together with left over resin from other pours I was doing, but when I release them I will have different colours, shapes & inclusions added!🌿🌼

Judging by the start of the wildfire season, it seems like this is going to be a very long, sad, summer. We’ve already lost so many beautiful land marks, an entire town, and so much of our forests in the interior of BC. I’ve been working on creating new pieces, but I’ve been very, very un-inspired as the land around me is my biggest inspiration- and as it’s all burning up it’s hard to feel like creating. Also I spend a lot of my summer collecting wildflowers and nature to use in my art- and well, right now it’s all on fire unless I drive hours away. 🥺

I haven’t poured at all the last week or so because we’ve been in a major heatwave here & didn’t have an ac to control my workspace- however we finally got an AC installed so as long as it isn’t 40+ degrees out I should be good to pour again! I just ordered a bundle of molds I have wanted for some time now & I can not wait to release some new products for you!
My Emerald release has been delayed a little bit because of the heatwave & lots of other external factors but I’m doing what I can here😅 ||

New logo & other updates!!
So first off, I love how my logo turned out so much! I was sent a bunch of different variations of it, however I feel these 2 are the ones I’ll use most. The last image in this slide (half green half white) was a quick edit of the 2 first images I threw together for a sneak peak & then I actually ended up really liking it- so I’m including it in this post as well incase I use that one too!

Today is my 1 year Etsy birthday & I have been working away on rebranding/re-imaging to bring a more cohesive feel to my pages; as well as make managing them easier for me- because what I was doing before was so time consuming & draining for me. I’ll still be making things like I have in the past but I will be focusing more on a core group of products & over the next couple months I will be continuing to work on the core group of products! (Probably forever in all honesty)

I’m going to work on showing my face here more & talking to you all through my stories more. I hate being on camera so it’s something I rarely do- but I’m going to try my best to step out of that comfort zone!

I’ve been a bit quiet on here the last couple days, I’ve been working away on background things that you guys don’t always get to see.
I’ve been trying to re-do a bunch of photos for etsy, I got all my descriptions, tags & titles updated, I’ve been participating in a couple Etsy classes, planning my 1 year giveaway for you guys & more!😅

Happy Sunday everyone!

My 1 year Etsy birthday is coming up on June 24th & that has got me doing a lot of reflecting & thinking!
With that being said; I have been working on a big re-brand coming up that I’m hoping to transition into by either June 24th or the beginning of July & then keep improving from there on out. I’m taking some Etsy courses right now & they’ve got my mind spinning with so many new ideas!

I will have a new logo, an updated Etsy shop, a new business plan. I will be permanently discontinuing about half of the items in my store currently & coming out with a group of staple items that will be made to order & a constant in my shop. I will still have unique pieces ready to go that I’ll upload because I LOVE experimenting with new pieces and don’t like to be restricted- however those pieces will probably be stocked locally at Kamloops Artisans Bazaar more often than Etsy. (I’ll still make sure my Etsy gets lots of unique listings as well!)

I’ll keep everyone updated as I go- but for now I’m having a massive sale to clear out some of those older items before they’re gone for good! My shop is linked below!🥰
