Truth Labs, the Web3 company behind projects like Goblintown, Illuminati, and The 187, has launched the Truth Labs Marketplace, a dedicated platform for its NFT collections, according to a press release shared with nft now.
Snag Solutions, a white-label NFT marketplace, built the platform in partnership with Truth Labs.

The aim is to enable secondary sales of NFTs from its collections with reduced fees for sellers, according to the release. The Truth Labs Marketplace will charge a single 5-percent royalty marketplace fee for transactions on the platform.

Carrey released the collection, called Germinations, under his Web3 alias String Bean. It includes five animated, autobiographical paintings by Carrey, each containing audio of the actor narrating the characters depicted in the pieces.

The NFT collection experiments with how society perceives and interacts with fame, art, and value. The collection’s reveal also hints at forthcoming projects from Carrey under his String Bean alias.

New tokens launched on decentralized exchanges on the BNB Smart Chain and Ethereum over the past 24 hours include names such as Queen Elizabeth Inu, Save the Queen, Queen, QueenDoge, London Bridge is Down and Rip Queen Elizabeth.

THE DAVID BOWIE estate is launching a new NFT series, “Bowie on the Blockchain,” that will feature works from nine different artists paying homage to the late music legend.

The NFT project was spearheaded by the Bowie estate, the web3 venture We Love the Arts, and the NFT marketplace OpenSea, where the sale will launch on Sept. 13. All of the profits to the Bowie estate will be donated to CARE, a non-profit for which Bowie’s widow Iman serves as a global advocate.

Over $100 million in NFTs have been stolen in the last year, according to a new report by blockchain analysis firm Elliptic.

Elliptic says cybercriminals netted an average of $300,000 per scam. Its report notes that $24 million in NFTs were stolen through scams in May 2022 alone, with July 2022 being the highest month on record for the number of NFTs stolen at 4,600.

ir Anthony Hopkins, the Golden Globe, BAFTA, and Oscar-winning icon of film, television, and theater, has partnered with Web3 media company Orange Comet for an upcoming series of NFT drops showcasing his work as an artist, according to information shared with nft now during an early press junket with the actor.

The project, called The Eternal Collection, includes three drops centered around a set of 10 digital animations of Hopkins digitally rendered as interpretations of various Jungian character archetypes the actor has portrayed throughout his career.

Its tentative release date is September 16, on OpenSea.

A new campaign intends to give a wider base of investors a stake in some of the most valuable NFTs by fractionalizing ownership to reinstate accessibility. Unique Network, an NFT infrastructure running on the Kusama and Polkadot networks, will split the ownership of a CryptoPunk to more than 56,000 addresses that have signed up for a share.

The campaign offers users a chance to participate in what has become a highly siloed environment, as Unique Network CEO Alexander Mitrovich explained in a statement:

“This represents an exciting moment for interoperability. With our fractionalisation of Cryptopunk #3042 we are heralding a new era of NFTs that are accessible, interchangeable and can be shared across chains, and at a fraction of the cost.”
