The State Consumer Rights Protection Service in Lithuania warns consumers to:
✅carefully assess the information provided about the seller (whether the details are accurate, where the seller is registered and where the seller operates),
✅check that the information required before the contract is concluded (e.g. right of withdrawal, guarantees, etc.) is provided,
assess whether the price of the goods is adequate compared to goods of the same type,
✅make sure that the text is coherent and free of grammatical errors,
✅check that the seller's details (name, email and physical addresses, telephone number), the company's form of business, and all the information about the product (features, price, use, cancellation, etc.) are provided,
✅check online consumer reviews about the seller.

Būkite atidūs pirkdami internete iš žinomų prekių ženklų parduotuvių. ‼️

Pasitaiko fiktyvių, bet labai panašių į oficialias prekių ženklų elektronines parduotuves, su labai panašiu ar net analogišku siūlomu asortimentu, elektroninių parduotuvių.

Pavyzdžiui, vartotoja skundėsi, jog įsigijo dvi batų poras iš ❌ https://www.ecco-ispardavimas.com/ ❌, bet prekių už beveik 150 EUR taip ir negavo. VVTAT išsiaiškino, kad tinklalapis nėra registruotas Lietuvoje, pinigų gavėjas nėra žinomas, tinklalapyje nėra pateikta duomenų apie pardavėją, o kreipusis į oficialų prekės ženklo atstovą Lietuvoje, buvo gautas atsakymas, kad ši el. parduotuvė nėra susijusi su jų veikla ir tai nėra jų administruojama svetainė.

❗️ℹ️ VVTAT ĮSPĖJA - prieš pirkdami, tikrinkite informaciją, atkreipkite dėmesį į pardavėjo kontaktus (šiuo atveju jų nėra)! Jei kyla neaiškumų, prekės aprašymas (šiuo atveju viskas nurodyta tik anglų kalba) ar kaina kelia įtarimą (pernelyg didelė nuolaida) - neskubėkite pirkti!

VVTAT ragina vartotojus prieš perkant iš internetinių parduotuvių:

🔸 atidžiai įvertinti pateikiamą informaciją apie pardavėją (ar pateikti tikslūs rekvizitai, pasidomėti, kur yra registruotas bei kur vykdo veiklą),
🔸 patikrinti, ar pateikta iki sutarties sudarymo privaloma pateikti informacija (pvz., teisė atsisakyti sutarties, garantijos ir pan.),
🔸 įvertinti, ar prekės kaina yra adekvati lyginant su tos pačios paskirties prekėmis,
🔸 įsitikinti, jog tekstas yra rišlus, be gramatinių klaidų,
🔸 patikrinti, ar yra pateikta informacija apie pardavėją (vardas, pavardė ar pavadinimas, el. pašto ir fiziniai adresai, telefono numeris), įmonės veiklos formą, visa informacija apie prekę (savybės, kaina, naudojimas, sutarties atsisakymas ir kt.),
🔸 patikrinti internete skelbiamus vartotojų atsiliepimus apie pardavėją.

The State Data Protection Inspectorate of Lithuania announces that social engineering techniques were used to gain access to Revolut's database and the incident may have affected the data of 50150 customers worldwide (20687 of them in the European Economic Area).
The State Data Protection Inspectorate urges the public to be vigilant and attentive in cyberspace, and provides recommendations on how to protect themselves against scams.

We have just finished the 2 days final project meeting hosted by Dorea Educational Institute in Cyprus.

Project partners have gathered in Limassol to discuss the project's developments – results of the pilot online course, challenges and lessons learned, and future activities and cooperation.
