Former Young Chautauquan at the Beijing Olympics. Cody LaPlante who portrayed Bob Marley and Shel Silverstein is representing the United States as a Free Style Skier. He is expected to compete in the Slopestyle event on Feb. 15

During International Holocaust Remembrance Day, January 27th, Young Chautauqua looks back on their performances when the Anne Frank Exhibit from Amsterdam came to Reno in 2006. Here's the link to their performance video.

Adult Chautauquans took the stage for the Theta Chapter of Delta Kappa Gamma at the Reno South Valleys Library on November 18. Characters portrayed were Scherry Harrah (Bonnie Drinkwater), Julia C. Bulette (Nancy Cummings Schmitt), Harriet T. Averill Haas (Kathy Drake), Louise Mackay (Barbara Fleischer), and Penny Chenery (Betty Rose). What a fun and engaged group!

Remembering our friend Fred Horlacher, teacher, historian, storyteller, and Silver State Young Chautauqua mentor. Fred was a regular volunteer lecturer at Young Chautauqua workshops.
