New planetary camera on the market 😍 More: http://player-one-astronomy.com/product-category/planetary-camera/
[REVIEW] A few days ago I captured my first images with brand new Askar ACL200 F/4 flatfield Astro Lens and ASI094MC Pro full-frame camera.
Observing conditions were poor (clouds), but my first impression with this lens and ASI camera is very promising. I've captured two frames, comet NEOWISE, and a small Aquila region.
As you see, the raw frames show very good image correction across the entire frame, also on Full-frame camera.
A few words about ACL200:
- The lens are built very well, without cheap plastic elements. Honestly, I am impressed at design and material quality.
- The two-stage focuser is very usaful and simple for usage.
- 2" filter installation is very simple.
- The camera installation with M48 is easy and very suitable to all of us. You do not need to set exactly 55-mm back focus distance; you need this only in case if you want to use distance scale on the lens body (for astography this does not make any sense). For example, the distance from 40-57mm is fine.
- I also like a well-designed v***n dovetail with integrated field rotator.
