Last night I joined a book club discussion about Senior Year. I was so honored to talk about my book with these smart and compassionate women.

Do you ever finish a book and your first thought is simply, “Wow”?
That’s how I felt after listening to “Red at the Bone” by Jaqueline Woodson. The way she captured the voices of each member of this family made me feel like I knew them intimately, and the voice actors only completed the portrait of each character so that I believe I would recognize them if I saw any of them on the street. Brilliantly done.
Just got the audiobook version so I’m reading it for the third time in 15 months. I just had to hear Lymond’s voice.
Which book character would you love to see brought to life?

A taste of Senior Year, August 1987
I am so excited to hear from those who have read and shared my book! If you have a few minutes to share your reactions on Amazon or Goodreads, I’d really appreciate it. Maybe you know someone else who would enjoy a quick trip back to GHS 1987.
A few friends have noticed that when you look at the book cover from a distance, you see the number 5. Was that on purpose?! Definitely not, but it's a crazy coincidence that 5 has always been my lucky number! I wore it on my high school varsity jerseys and it's an important part of We5Smiths. So maybe it was subconsciously not a complete accident...
So thrilled to announce that Senior Year has just been published by J2B Publishing and is available now on Amazon!
