When Nigerian billionaire, Femi Otedola, in a telephone interview, was asked by the radio presenter, "Sir what can you remember made you the happiest man in life?" Femi said: "I have gone through four stages of happiness in life and finally I understood the meaning of true happiness."

The first stage was to accumulate wealth and means. But at this stage, I did not get the happiness I wanted. Then came the second stage of collecting valuables and items. But I realized that the effect of this thing is also temporary and the lustre of valuable things does not last long. Then came the third stage of getting big projects. That was when I was holding 95% of diesel supply in Nigeria and Africa. I was also the largest vessel owner in Africa and Asia.

But even here I did not get the happiness I had imagined. The fourth stage was the time a friend of mine asked me to buy wheelchairs for some disabled children. Just about 200 kids. At the friend's request, I immediately bought the wheelchairs.

But the friend insisted that I go with him and hand over the wheelchairs to the children. I got ready and went with him. There I gave these wheelchairs to these children with my own hands. I saw the strange glow of happiness on the faces of these children.

I saw them all sitting on the wheelchairs, moving around and having fun. It was as if they had arrived at a picnic spot where they are sharing a jackpot winning. I felt REAL joy inside me. When I decided to leave one of the kids grabbed my legs.

I tried to free my legs gently but the child stared at my face and held my legs tightly. I bent down and asked the child: Do you need something else? The answer this child gave me not only made me happy but also changed my attitude to life completely. This child said: "I want to remember your face so that when I meet you in heaven, I will be able to recognize you and thank you once again" What would you be remembered for after you leave that office or place?

Will anyone desire to see your face again where it all matters?

This got me thinking. I pray it does the same to everyone.

He wasn't built to take over from people. If you do not plan, he has nothing to do. So, men make sure that the woman that come into your life , You have a plan for your life before she comes.

THERE IS A BALM IN GILEAD (PART 3)

“Is there no balm in Gilead? Is there no physician there? Why then is there no healing for the wound of my people? ” Jeremiah 8:22

We are in Week 3 of our series 'There is a balm in Gilead' and over the past two weeks, we have established that Jesus is the Balm in Gilead. While He walked this earth in the flesh, Jesus had compassion that equaled His power and he was moved by compassion for those in need. His three years of public ministry were characterized by doing good and healing people. In unconquered confidence, Jesus welcomed the blind, crippled, leprous; and even dead people into His presence. No problem loomed too great for His skill; none intimidated Him into silence. His healing ministry attested to the fact that Jesus had invaded Satan's realm, shackled him and, despite his unavailing protests, plundered and snatched from his malevolence any victim He pleased. In sum, Jesus' earthly healing ministries fulfilled the prophecy of Isaiah 53: 4: "Surely he hath borne our griefs, and carried our sorrows."

He commanded the lame to get up, (Jn. 5:8-9; Mk. 2:11), commanded the shriveled hand of a man to stretch it out (Mt. 12:9-13), the deaf ears of the mute to be opened (Mk. 7:31-35), the l***r to become cleansed (Mt. 8:1-3), and before healing Jesus announced the freedom of a crippled woman; "woman, you are set free from your infirmity" (Lk. 13:10-16). No one Jesus touched was left unhealed. No one who touched Jesus desiring to heal was unhealed (Mt. 14:34-36). According to Mt. 8:16, he "healed all who were ill." (See Ps. 103:3-5.) Most often his healing was instantaneous, but on at least one occasion it was partial and gradual (Mk. 8:22-26).

The ninth chapter of Matthew is largely an account of the miracle-working ministry of Jesus. Five miracles are recorded, four of them physical healing, and the fifth, restoring the life of a dead girl. But these are the only representative of the many miracles Jesus performed. In fact, toward the end of the chapter Matthew seems to sum it all up by writing: “And Jesus went throughout all the cities and villages, teaching in their synagogues and proclaiming the gospel of the kingdom and healing every disease and affliction” (v. 35).

The one thing to note in Matthew 9 is the part faith played in all the recorded miracles. In the healing of the paralytic man, Matthew says that Jesus saw his faith (v. 2). To the woman who was healed, Jesus said, “Your faith has made you well” (v. 22). And to the two blind men whom He healed, He said, “According to your faith be it done to you” (v. 29). And as for the ruler whose daughter Jesus restored to life, his faith is certainly implied in his request to Jesus: “My daughter has just died, but come and lay your hand on her, and she will live” (v. 18). Only of the demon-oppressed man who was mute is there no mention of faith on his part.

As the extensions of God's hands on the earth, Jesus expects us all to continue from where He stopped. His supernatural touch healed the sick and raised the dead and He wants us to do same through us but the point, however, is this:
- Will you obey God and His Word,?
- Will you love those who are hurting?
- Will you extend compassion to the broken?
Our responsibility is to pray. to heal OR not to heal is God's business and God is willing to take responsibility so the testimonies are guaranteed.

Beginning from this week, make up your mind that you will NEVER resign yourself to sickness. Don't acquiesce to it. Don't yield to it is the reason, This was the reason Jesus was made manifest “>For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that he might destroy the works of the devil” (1 John 3:8)

MESSAGE TITLE: Don't Look Back, You're Just About Entering Your Promised Land - Lk. 9:62

One of the vital requirements that we must recognise as a necessity in our walk with God is the force of patience. Patience is not waiting and watching, rather patience is waiting and working (Heb. 10:35/36). It is doers that can claim to be patient. Patience is not passing through, rather patience is pressing through (Phil. 3:13/14)

One of the vital scriptural descriptions of patience is the word endurance, every time you find the word patience in scripture, it is a description of endurance. Why is it endurance? Because it has some specific demands that must be engaged in the process of waiting.

Examples:

: Abraham was told how to patiently endure in order to inherit the promise (Heb. 6:12-15). It takes engagement in order to be followers of them who through faith and patience inherit the promises, he was not just waiting and watching, he was waiting and working, he was not just passing through, he was pressing through, he was enduring the demands in order to take delivery of the promise. The promise is always at the capacity of ours to endurance (2 Tim. 2:2-3) we're admonished like Abraham to endure because out of the endurance is what birth our promise (Rom. 4:16-21.) There was no shaking, he was a man of consistent faith, he kept pressing unto the end, today we call him the father of faith. He became the epitome of blessing on the premise of his commitment to continue pressing.

is God telling us this morning?
If you and I like Abraham can continue to press instead of continue to pass
If you and I like Abraham can continue to endure in order to enjoy
If you and I like Abraham can continue to work instead of watching
Then you and I like Abraham can continue to work in the fullness of blessings. The blessing is at the mercy of our scriptural patience. Patience is not a call to indefinite waiting, patience is a call to a definite outcome.

Look at the testimony we just heard,
"... a family man who has lost his job, has five children and a wife, he was unable to provide for the family to the point that the wife is the one putting food on the table giving the family livelihood and even giving the husband pocket money. Unable to go to church, had to trek but as he began to engage, he said, the second week as he engaged and endured, his story changed." By the time the testimony was been written, he had already resumed in the job he desired. The expectations had turned to experience on the basis of his patience.

(2 Kgs. 5:1-20)
Until your obedience can become ridiculous, your testimony cannot be shown as miraculous. It takes ridiculous obedience to enjoy miraculous testimony. Anytime we want to get the best out of our walk with God, we must remain consistent in our obedience to God. God is a faithful God, the scripture says "... he abides faithful and he will never deny himself”.

Looking at this commission today which God has made an epitome of blessings, you will discover from the story of this commission that this commission is a product of patience. This commission is an epitome of blessing. The commission is a product of patience. The first set of musical instruments came in 1986. That is church service, no drum, no keyboard, no guitar! What were we doing? Clapping our hands. The Scriptures gives the command, ‘Clap your hands O ye people’. Clapping of hands is sufficient for praise. God gave you two original instruments from heaven which we used from 1981-1986. For five years no single instrument. But look at what God has done.

This commission is an epitome of blessing. The commission is a product of patience.

What seems like the patience of yesterday is what gives birth to the promise of today. So the patience of today equals the promise of tomorrow. My charge to us this morning is to simply obey and endure that process and watch God usher you to enjoy his promise. I see the promise of God manifesting supernaturally for you in Jesus name.

So we're given this opportunity to serve, to press particularly in this season as we advance the kingdom of God in the growth and replication of our cells; engage to the point that it seems ridiculous because God is moving you to the point that it will look miraculous. He changes every area of your story and makes you an example for others to follow. We're talking about Abraham today, they will be calling your name tomorrow.

Two weeks ago, I was about to prepare lunch for my family, when I took out a fresh Titus fish from the freezer.
Suddenly my one year five months old daughter who stood by watching, started crying and demanding that I give her the fish to eat. I Kept trying to tell her in my own way that the fish was raw, I needed to spice it up, cook and then take out the bones so it can be ready for consumption, but my toddler wouldn't hear but chose to cry louder and even fell to the ground and no one was able to comfort her.
I decided to ignore her, went ahead to do what was right and when it was ready, she had her fish and didn't even remember all the drama she had put up.
But the Holy Spirit ministered to me that this is how many of us cry for a blessing that is not yet ready. God is saying am spicing it up, cooking it and taking out the bones so you don't get choked.
If only my little daughter knew, she would have waited patiently instead of being anxious. (Phil.4:6) God is saying to someone here that you should be anxious for nothing, Be still and know that I am God I am spicing up that blessing so you will enjoy to the fullest.
Wait on the Lord! (Is.40:31) Like Job said..All the days of my appointed time will I wait till my change comes. (Job 14:14)
Change is coming, Help is on the way.
