At this point, concerning the Coronavirus outbreak, the May 2nd Springsteen/Orbison show booked at Green Timbers Pub, remains a question-mark? However, things are changing rapidly regarding the crisis, & I am confident that if we all do our part, mainly, just stay at home & isolate, that the virus will be contained, and a cure ultimately be found. I am personally just staying at home myself; I am in my studio, singing, practising, & learning new songs, and staying focused & ready to rock. Let's all continue to follow the rules, and conquer this thing together. Good health to everyone!
Gigs are going down the drain for a lot of musicians during these unusually difficult times. For some, it is their only income. Even Granville Island, usually a haven for buskers pretty much year around, is like a ghost town these days. Springsteen/Orbison Tribute has 3 shows currently booked, with more in the que. We are hoping something breaks soon in the way of a cure for this pesky virus. We will keep you updated.
In 1987, just prior to Roy Orbison's untimely death, he performed a remarkable concert at Los Angeles's Coconut Grove Nightclub. It was called A Black and White Night, as the show was filmed in Black and White, and made available to everyone on subsequent release. An all-star line-up backed Roy that night, including the Boss, Bruce Springsteen, who played lead guitar and sang back-up harmonies with Orbison. Dan Yard, as Bruce Springsteen, and Gord Rebelato, as Roy Orbison, have put together a show which brings back memories of that famous night, and it includes all the hits from both artists. Available as a budget duo show with fabulous backing tracks, with live vocals and lead guitar, or as a full band, contact us at [email protected] to book an event.
