__________
The Indonesian Government states that the Second Home Visa is suitable for investors, travelers, and elderly or retirement tourists. It is closer to a retirement agreement than a digital nomad visa.
As for the Digital Nomad Visa, the Indonesian government is still working on its specifics. For now, digital nomads can live and work in Bali up to six months (tax-free) using the existing B211A visa, while following the new rule made by the government last year.

Opening a bank account in Bali is pretty straightforward โ but it really depends on the kind of permits and which bank you choose.
There are two options: Without KITAS, and with KITAS.
Opening a bank without KITAS: Limited Tourist Account. Usually you only need your passport to open this account.
Opening a bank with KITAS: Unlimited Balance Expat Account and Special Balance Expat Account. Your passport, temporary residency permit (KITAS) or KITAP, and evidence of residence in Indonesia are required. In some cases, you may be asked to provide additional documentation such as a letter of recommendation from your employer, passport-size photographs, a bank certificate issued in your home country of origin, an existing debit or credit card, a residence contact number, and a letter of domicile.

Google Maps and Waze are notorious for sending travelers far off route and into dangerous collisions.
This is because of the difference in information from the satellite images and the reality of roads. If youโre new to any area, it would always be best to be guided by a local.
