On November 24th Thursday, RAIN's Events team will host a virtual speed networking event for students with an interest in the financial industry. Guest speakers will make a brief introduction followed by answering pre-selected questions. Each guest speaker will then be assigned to a breakout room and students will be able to freely move between rooms to network.

R.A.I.N. will be hosting our first consulting-focused event with two representatives on Thursday, March 3rd at 7 PM EST!

Our two guest speakers are Mike Hejmej and Susanna Zhao.

Mike graduated with a dual degree in Honours Mathematics and Business Administration from the University of Waterloo and Wilfrid Laurier University in 2017. He has previously worked at Bain as a Consultant and is now the CEO of Pierogi House. Mike has also completed a secondment at Airbnb within Strategy and Finance while working at Bain.

Susanna graduated with a Bachelor of Commerce degree from the University of Toronto in 2021. She is currently a full-time Management Consultant at KPMG. While at the University of Toronto, she was the Co-Captain of the Rotman Commerce Competition Team and the Vice President of the Rotman Commerce Marketing Association.

Calling all University of Waterloo and Wilfrid Laurier students!

RAIN is excited to announce that we will be hosting an Educational Session for students who are interested in finance on Wednesday, October 27th.

This session represents the first of the Educational Session series which is intended to be held in liaison with various universities across Ontario. We are excited to announce that in continuation of the partnership between RBCCM Mosaic and RAIN Career Institute, Mosaic and RAIN will be co-hosting a workshop on Effective Communication Practices on November 2nd at 2PM EST. The workshop will be led by Neil Grammer, President of Dialogue Strategies Inc. Neil is a published author and has been featured multiple times in the Globe & Mail. He has also appeared on CBC and BNN Bloomberg.

R.A.I.N. will be hosting the first Industry Call of the 2021 fall semester with a representative from the Investment Banking industry on Tuesday, October 12th at 8pm.

Our guest speaker, Eddy Ji is from BMO Capital Markets. Eddy graduated from the University of Toronto with a Bachelor of Commerce degree in 2021. Prior to joining BMO as a full-time Investment Banking Analyst in the Financial Institutions Group, Eddy worked at Morgan Stanley as a Sales and Trading Intern in Hong Kong and VWK Capital Management as a Summer Analyst. Eddy was the Co-President of the Toronto Student Investment Counsel, and was a member of the varsity rowing team.

During the call, Eddy will be speaking about his experience breaking into Investment Banking as an international student!
