It will involve certain exercises, some weight gain with a high protein intake, and after you get a good size, you can shed the fat off and look thicker and better.

Drinking excessively can lead to low blood sugar which if prolonged, can damage your brain.
It can also cause pancreatitis, which means damage to your pancreas, an organ that releases enzymes that break doen food in your gut.

And you don't want either happening.
So drink responsibly.
Or don't drink at all.
Both are good options.

Tuberculosis is preventable and curable.
Stay aware.

Scars can be hard to deal with after surgery. One of the cheapest ways to make them look better is to buy an over-the-counter topical (put on skin) corticosteroids, antihistamine creams or anesthetic ointments.

Tell the pahrmacist and follow directions of the medicine.
It makes the scar heal better, may reduce itchiness and discomfort.

With newer scars, still pink, you need a stronger corticosteroid, ask your surgeon to prescribe you one. These ones need a prescription.

There are still condoms for you out there if you are allergic to latex.

When you buy let the pharmaciat know or just read the labels of the condom and look at the material.

You want to go for polyurethane condoms.

One of the advantages of breastfeeding is protection of the baby.

Breast milk has proteins that provide protection to the baby, protecting it from various diseases though the protection wears off after weaning (when you stop feeding).

Don't go hard on your lady/partner/wife when weight increases when they start breastfeeding.

It is more than likely going to happen.
They will genuinely need to eat more.
Appetite shoots sometimes.

So be informed, this is fine.

Post partum blues.
The blues after giving birth.
Being in a low mood, feeling anxious, tearing up, feeling weak.
It usually last 2 weeks or less & starts a few days after birth.
Usually, you can still go about your normal business.
Affects up to 80% of women.

With postpartum or peripartum depression, symptoms affect day to day life, are more severe including
sleep issues.
eating habits change.
getting no pleasure from activities.
suicidal thoughts...
It can happen during or up to a year after delivery.
It last more than 2 weeks. usually starts within 4 weeks of delivery.
Treatment is psychotherapy, getting a professional to talk to and meds also which help (antidepressants).
You should be educated on the risks of antidepressants too because they can be a lot also.

Just a friendly reminder that with a common cold, no antibiotics are needed unless you actually get a bacterial infection.

Common cold is caused by a virus.
Just drink fluids, take paracetamol for pain and decongestants to open up your nose.

_ increase pleasurable activities.
_ ask family & friends for support.

As for the cough, take a lot of fluids.

Just a friendly reminder about the signs of pregnancy:
_a black line down your belly known as linea nigra.
_ feeling sick and vomiting
_feeling tired.
_being selective about foods, even ones you previously liked.
_breast enlargement and feeling sore on touching._darkening of ar**la, area around the ni**le.
_your belly bloating and getting constipated.
_increased weight gain.
_spotting or no period.

All of them don't have to be present.
It can be one or two or 5.

Walking is a very underrated form of exercise. Start at 5,000 steps a day as a goal.
You just get healthier without trying.

So number #2 on the things men can do to become healthier is condomize.
With the pandemic of 'no condom use,' using one is the answer.
It doesn't cause pregnancy if used correctly. Avoids a lot of STIs, especially HIV which has no cure.
Think of the consequences the next time you don't want to wear one.
Something avoidable..

Why I recommend screening for anemia.
Before pregnancy you should get on some Fe (iron) tablets. Because your iron requirements go up as the blood needs also go up in pregnancy.
If it is below 7, you will need a blood transfusion.
Stay safe mothers for you and your baby.

Newborn babies have a very fast heart rate.
Their hearts beat 120 - 160 beats per minute. And that's okay.

Also, the first poo should be passed in the first two days.

If you get heavy periods often, that is,

_you change pads more than two times a day & they are fully soaked, or

_you go on me**es for more than 7 days for several months.

You are at risk of getting anemia and bumping up your iron intake in food isn't enough.

You probably will need iron tablets and if it's really low, blood transfusion.

So I advice you go to a local clinic and have an FBC/CBC done which checks how much blood you have.

Signs of anemia include:
_getting tired easily
_fast heart rate
_palpitations
_looking pale - light-coloured to white palms, a not so reddish tongue
_running out of breath easily or even at rest
_pain in chest
_having an appetite for things that aren't edible like soil/chalk.

Go get help. Go get treated.

RULE OF THUMB:
As the saying goes, "2 heads are better than one."

So are two methods of contraception better than 1.

And anything other then condoms doesn't protect you from STIs.
IUDs, vasectomy, tube tying, withdrawal, list goes on.

Asthma patients should avoid their allergens (things they are allergic to)/triggers to avoid attacks.

Common ones are:

The cold, yes chando in my language.

Aspirin.

Smoke.

Dust. Even at work like flour dust.

Domestic animals. Usually the hair.

Balanitis is inflammation of the p3nis. It can happen in circumcised & uncircumcised.

Causes:
_poor ge***al hygiene. Not washing causes build-up of sm**ma which supports growth of bacteria.
_drug reactions
_irritants like soap
_yeast e.g., candida
_bacteria e.g., gonorrhea.
The p3nis can be itchy, red, painful, and it swells up.
You might get ulcers forming there.
A discharge might come out from the ulcer or p3nis itself.

+ fever, tiredness, joint pain...
Treatment is according to the pathogen, fancy word for bacteria/fungi ...

Also, retract the fo****in daily and bath in warm water mixed with salt.
Avoid irritants like soap & perfumes.
If it keeps happening and you have a fo****in, circumcision will be done.Antibiotics:
Clotrimazole for yeast infections.
Bacitracin for bacterial infections.
If it was caused by a drug reaction or reaction to something like soap or metal, a topical corticosteroid cream & aqueous cream are used.
