MACATCATUIT HIGH SCHOOL joins 2nd Catch-Up Friday of the Department of Education's (DepEd) project called "DEAR: Drop Everything and Read." The project's goal is to inspire students to pick up a passion for reading. We recognize that reading has many other advantages in addition to increasing one's knowledge and comprehension of the world. Through reading, we can increase our cognitive abilities, reduce stress, foster empathy and creativity, become more informed and aware of the world, and find solace from the grind of everyday life .

In line with the DepEd Memorandum No. 001 series 2024, MACATCATUIT HIGH SCHOOL is one with the DepEd in the implementation of CATCH-UP FRIDAYS.
The said activity aims to provide opportunities to enhance learners' academic performance particularly the low proficiency levels in reading based on national and international large scales assessments which necessitate prompt attention to address learning gaps and strengthen the reading proficiency of every learner.
Catch-up Fridays is designed to strengthen the foundational, social, and other relevant skills necessary to actualize the intent of the basic education curriculum by focusing on the development of learner's reading, critical thinking, analytical, and writing skills.
As part of the school's initiative in congruence with the mandate of the Department of Education, the school is set to conduct Drop Everything and Read (DEAR) activity on the three consecutive Fridays of the month. Particularly, DEAR is set on January 12, 19 and 26.
Hence, as part of schoolโs effort, all classroom teachers in JHS and SHS provided reading activities to their learners depending on their current reading and language fluency.
The school is enthusiastic that with the said activity the learners will become more eager to maintain a good reading habit.
Letโs immerse ourselves in the world of books and let our imagination soar!

Ang Macatcatuit High School ay nakikiisa sa Nationwide 236K Trees : A Christmas Gift for the Children "Puno ng Pag-asa" ngayong ika-anim ng Disyembre 2023 sa pangunguna ng ating Officer-in-Charge, Ma'am Roselie F. Fernandez, kasama ang mga g**o, Yes-O at SSLG Officers
Ang pagtatanim ng puno ay isa sa maaaring solusyon sa mga suliraning naidudulot ng nagbabagong klima. Ang programang ito ng Kagawaran ng Edukasyon ay naglalayong makatulong upang maisalba ang kalikasan para sa susunod na henerasyon.

Isang kwento na magbibigay sa atin ng aral na kung saan ay masasaksihan natin ang mahusay na pamamaraan ng pagkukwento.

Kinikilala ng buong pamunuan ng Macatcatuit High School ang lahat ng indibidwal at grupo naglaan ng kanilang tulong upang maging matagumpay ang kabuuang programa sa ating BRIGADA ESKWELA 2023 na may temang "Bayanihan para sa Paaralan."
Ang tema ng Brigada Eskwela 2023 ay kumikilala sa ating mga adhikain at pagbabayanihan upang matugunan ang pangangailangan ng komunidad upang maabot ng bawat mag-aaral ang kanilang mga mithiin at pangarap.
Patunay ito na kapag may pagtutulungan at bayanihan sa paaralan ay may magandang bungang makakamtan.

Gulayan sa Paaralan
Ang Gulayan sa Paaralan ay hindi lamang tungkol sa pagtatanim ng mga halaman, kundi tungkol din sa pagtanim ng kaalaman at pagmamahal sa kalikasan. Isang proyekto ng pagsasama-sama at pagtutulungan ng mga g**o, mag-aaral at mga magulang.
Ipinapaabot namin ang aming taos-pusong pasasalamat sa pangunguna ng ating Officer-In-Charge Maโam Roselie F. Fernadez at sa ating TLE Coordinator Maโam Mercy E. Prepose sa bawat indibidwal na nagbibigay-buhay sa proyektong ito. Ang inyong suporta ay nagbibigay inspirasyon sa aming lahat na patuloy na magsumikap na palaganapin ang halaga ng pag-aalaga sa aming paaralan.
Sa bawat pag-aani natin, tayoโy hindi lamang nagkakaroon ng sariwang gulay, kundi pati na rin ng mas makulay at mas malusog na buhay.
