A perfect gift for book lovers

Life continues like the cryptic indelible ink from my pen.
Streams of reminiscences.
Infinitesimal thoughts.
With all the anxieties and hesitancy lying under my bed. I, hereby, sprawl on the sheets of jagged prickles of a rose that bloomed once. With all the devils from within resting alongside. Demons and those obscurations of all the reminiscences from my yesterday. Throbbing and traversing me, omitting my feet remorseful. I continued lazing there till dawn.
And the blackness recapitulates.

I am the protagonistic antagonist of my own story.
I am bewildered by the clumps of utter anarchy.
Neither in quest of clues.
Nor imagining or deceiving anything.
And neither I owe an apology to this accursed world.
Indeed, it seems like a chaotic mess.
That's who I am.
As an avid advocate of stoicism.
Truth be told, everything about me is faulty.
It is just me talking personally about myself.
I do not like who I am right now.
With clusters of philosophies.
With a kaleidoscope of sentiments.
With distressed mind's reason.
With disrupted heart's logic.
I am fading away.

Arsal Tariq is a talented author from the writing community of Pakistan. His consistency in his work stands out as his most prominent quality. His debut book, “Midnight Contemplation” turned out to be an extreme success. His forte, as he says, is his Instagram author page. Connect with him

1. What is your ideal writing environment?

Turning your writing spot into a writer’s nirvana is possible without breaking the bank, so you can customize it. Comfort is the key here. I’ve drafted my debut book mostly at midnight, in the corner of my room, with a dim light. Something about the blanket of the night helps me relax and “unleash.” I want a dark, calm setting to write better with headphones plugged in. I love lofi music, and I can listen to it the whole night. But talking about the ideal writing environment, my perfect writing environment is rural and peaceful, with a lake or coastline close by. Lost, dissipated. Glooming midnight sun far away. Far from the noise, these masses. The breeze from the sea, clinging to my hair and fading away into the atmosphere like the moon, far away in the nothingness. Now we’re talking.

2. What are your hobbies and interests besides writing?

Oh, I relish music. I can listen to anything good for hours. Besides writing, I’m an avid reader, and I collect books. Gathering books differs from reading them; these are two distinct hobbies I have. My zeal for writing gets its flair from my passion for reading books. I’m an ambivert, so sometimes I love hanging out with the closest ones. I crave a serene setting, and for that, I can go to any extent. I love working out, too, and I’ve been working out for years but inconsistently. I have only one primary hobby, to just scribble. Yet, it consumes all my free time.

3. What do you do if you notice a mistake after you have published a piece? Do you fix it?

Nothing. Once my work has been posted or published, I can’t do much about it, and I have encountered this too. For example, in “Midnight Contemplation,” I know there are some issues, and some things could have been much better. But the only thing I can do is acknowledge that error and move on. I can work on that the next time; that’s actually the virtue of living. You get more genuine by making mistakes and acknowledging that. There’s always space for human errors. Yes, I fix it but the next time.
