A Mothers Love celebrates the miraculous bond shared between Mother and Child. She returns to a place once visited as a child and reflects on the years gone by, the moment of birth, the youthfulness of their upbringing and the natural God giving care and love she has unconditionally given her children throughout the years. She instills the values of knowledge, wisdom, patents and virtue in each of her children that transcends generations. In a sense our mother's spirit carries on amongst all of us as We grow into adulthood and the cycle of life endures. The cobblestone path she has chosen reflects the choices she has made throughout her journey in the interest and well being of her children's future. The colorful calm water reflects the stable environment provided for her children and the rich memories instilled in all of us. The stone bridge in the horizon is a secure path for future generations.
Subtlety ghosted in the sky rests a Child's hand gently placed in the warmth and security of their Mothers Love.
"A Mother hold her children's hands for a while, their hearts forever" - Author unknown

Going Home
The hands of a child return us safely home, symbolizing the end of our sequential journey through life and the beginning of an ageless eternity. Shown through the clouds are the many generations of family that unite each and every one of us in the commonality of humanity. The child's hands reflect the pure innocence of youth and its expectant acceptance of our Father's unconditional love and affection.
Three doves symbolize the purity of heart creating the triune God as the fourth dove returns home to the flock. Emerging from the clouds is Jesus Christ completing the Holy Trinity as the creation of the universe and all that unfolds within the palm of our Lord's hands. There are twelve points of light above His hand, each point bearing the task to spread His word, as did the apostles
God's wisdom is given to all of us and the permanent spiritual impressions we instill within our loved ones will pass through us to future generations, securing each great link in the eternal celebration of life. Although we are each the jewel in God's eyes, may we always remain humble His awesome presence. His reflection in the ocean serves as a constant reminder that the Spirit of God is always with us, patiently awaiting the return of His children, "Going Home". To my mother who I love so dearly, embrace me when I come home.
This certificate hereby verifies and authenticates the accompanying specifications: This lithographic production print was created from the original painting, "Going Home" painted by artist Raymond A. Simon and has been inspected for quality and accuracy by the artist. "Going Home" by artist Raymond A. Simon is a personal tribute to Theresa Isabella Simon, his mother. Theresa has provided Ray constant support and has been a driving force throughout Ray's artistic career. Sympathetic to the challenges we face during this time of loss, the artist created a painting that rejoices in the eternal reunion that all of humanity will experience in the kingdom of God

The History of the Marines (with flag)
History of the Marine Corp: vays Faithful, Semper Fidelis
Artist Ray Simon is privileged to create this painting identifying and honoring the history, mission, and tradition of The United States Marine Corps. The painting's timeline begins on day one, November 10, 1775, the day the Second Continental Congress resolved to raise two battalions of Continental Marines in the war for independence against the British.
Emerging from the clouds is the storied tablet commemorating the site of Tun Tavern, the birthplace of the United States Marine Corps. It was here that the very first officer of the Marines, Major Samuel Nicholas, held the initial recruiting rendezvous for Marine Battalions. Unfolding beneath this milestone image charges a battalion of 250 Continental Marines on their way to the damage and seizure of British naval stores at New Providence, led at the front by the very same Major Nicholas advancing beneath Old Glory's 13 stars and stripes. Blending to the right of the painting is a Parris Island formation of WWI Marines continuing the time-honored tradition of the carrying of the colors alongside the Marine Corps band while marching to deployment. The Marines pictured here are off to Europe to join our allies in the historic head-to-head fight against the German army at Belleau Wood, where many Marines earned the German nickname; "Teufelhunden! (Devil Dog)".
Lower left, a group of Vought F4U Corsair fighters dive in attack formation to support ground troops in the last ground battle of WWII on Okinawa, signifying the onset of Mari in the air supporting Marines on the ground. Ghosted behind these Marine lighters is the image of Lieutenant General Louis B. Puller, exemplifying the archetypical Marine. In the foreground of the South Pacific sky is the quintessential moment of the United States Marine Corps: The raising the flag atop Mt. Suribachi in the midst of the bloody battle of Iwo Jima.
Faded to the right, a column of the St Marine Division in Korea defies the odds, the elements, and the enemy while moving through Chinese lines during their breakout from the Chosin reservoir November 26
December 13, 1950. To the lower right, a battalion of Marines stands firm in tenacious defense of their firebase during the siege at Khe San and again, under unceasing assault in the midst of the Tet offensives of Vietnam.
Appropriately at the focal point, the Marine Honor Guard presents the folded flag on behalf of a grateful nation in remembrance of each and every fallen Marine. In reverence that is all of the American Flag
per Fidelis
Ceremony, they are honoring them as they honor the Nation with the symbolisms of the 13 folds of the flag.
The contrasts between light & shadow, formal dress blues and devastation of the battlefield, sun and dark
clouds all evoke a sense of courage, hope, and pride yet at the same time a strong and quiet intrepidity in 6
loss and ultimate sacrifice. This poignant composition expresses well the breadth of emotion encompassing the spirit, resolve, and reverence of the Corps.
"They are in front of us, behind us, and we are flanked on both sides by an enemy that outnumbers us 29:1. They can't get away from us now!"
- Lewis B. "Chesty" Puller, USMC

"The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants." - Thomas Jefferson
