To say, I’m proud of my team at TPD would be an understatement. Turlock Associated Police Officers spend thousands of dollars out of their own pockets to support our community every year, and we rarely here about it. Thank you TAPO for all that you do for Turlock.

On November 9th Turlock Police Officers were in pursuit of a drunk driver who was driving a vehicle in a reckless manner. The driver eventually crashed into a brick flower bed in front of a residence on Park Street. When officers contacted the homeowner they spoke with an elderly female who resided at this address. She told officers she had just planted new flowers in the flower bed.

TAPO heard about this and came together to donate the money it would cost to repair this flower bed. A member of TAPO, Sgt Lewis and his wife took it one step further and rebuilt this flower bed on their time off.

We appreciate the support of our community and we will do anything to support our community!

The driver was arrested for DUI and felony pursuit.

Today we remember the 2,977 victims lost in the September 11th attacks, including 23-NYPD members, 343 FDNY members, and 37 Port Authority PD members. We pray for the families of the fallen and for those we continue to lose from 9/11 related illnesses.

May we never forget.

Great work Oakdale PD! We are proud to support our law enforcement partners.

HIGH-RISK WARRANTS SERVED IN CONNECTION WITH DRIVE-BY SHOOTING
Suspects Involved in Manufacturing and Selling of Illegal Fi****ms

This morning, Oakdale Police Department’s Rapid Response Team, along with partner agencies, served four high-risk search warrants following a nearly two-month investigation. The investigation was triggered by a drive-by shooting at Dorada Park on April 27th. During the investigation, detectives discovered that one of the suspects of the search warrant was manufacturing fi****ms, and others were selling illegal fi****ms. The investigation division was able to obtain four search warrants for various locations throughout Oakdale.

As a result of the search warrants, one juvenile was taken into custody for several felony fi****ms charges. David Campero, 35 years old, from Oakdale, was arrested for several felony fi****ms violations. Detectives will be seeking an arrest warrant for another suspect from Oakdale.

This morning’s search warrant services demonstrate the cooperation between various law enforcement agencies within the county. We want to thank our partners from the Stanislaus County Sheriff's Office , Stanislaus Probation, Ceres Police Department, and City of Turlock - Turlock Police Department for their assistance in serving the warrants.

The investigation into the park shooting is still ongoing, and the investigation into illegal fi****ms manufacturing is ongoing. Anyone with information about these incidents is asked to contact Detective Falconi at (209) 605-3519.

I’m so proud to work with such a dedicated, committed, and caring team. Thank you TAPO for all you do and continue to do for our community.

On 3/15/23 at approximately 0900 hours, Turlock Police Officers were dispatched to a report of a 14 year old who had been robbed while riding his bike to school. Items were taken from the 14 year old including his bike during this crime. Turlock Associated Police Officers (TAPO) heard of this and came together to purchase a new bike for the victim.

The family of the victim sent us this photo of Officer Villapudua (who took the initial report) delivering the new bike. This is our community and we will not let evil win.

The video footage released today out of Memphis is reprehensible. My heart goes out to the family of Tyre Nichols and the Memphis community.

This incident watched by millions of Americans tonight erodes the public trust and tarnishes the outstanding work carried out by law enforcement professionals everyday. The actions of the five former Memphis officers does not reflect the values, high standards, professionalism, and ethics of our profession.

Again, I extend my deepest condolences to the family of Tyre Nichols and the Memphis community.

The Community Advisory Board to the Chief of Police (CABCOP) was established in 2019, by then Chief Nino Amirfar to promote community trust and partnerships.

CABCOP is an advisory board appointed by the Chief of Police for the purpose of providing insight and suggestions when reviewing crime trends, new and revised policies, community issues, overview of complaint processes, etc.

This week the CABCOP board participated in a force options simulator demonstration put on by the Stanislaus County Sheriff’s Department. It gave the board a unique look into scenarios law enforcement officers face everyday.

I want to give a special thanks to Sheriff Jeff Dirkse, Lieutenant Casey Hill, and Deputy Ismael Ruiz for hosting us at the Academy. Our board was grateful for the opportunity.

The Turlock Police Department is proud to participate in the dismantling of drug operations with our allied agency partners. This type of collaboration demonstrates our commitment to making Turlock and neighboring communities safer through partnerships and networking. Taking these criminals off the street, coupled with the seizure of dangerous narcotics and fi****ms, is a win for everyone.

Multi-Agency Drug Trafficking Operation Investigation Yields Recovery of Fentanyl, Methamphetamine, He**in- Largest Seizure in Madera County History

In July of 2022, the Madera Narcotic Enforcement Team, the High Intensity Investigation Team, and the Fresno Drug Enforcement Administration, launched a joint investigation into the drug trafficking activities of Ernesto Beltran.

During the course of the investigation, detectives learned that Beltran was part of a large scale, Mexico based drug trafficking organization responsible for the importation, manufacturing, and distribution of methamphetamine throughout the state of California and neighboring states.

Investigators identified a large group of individuals who were involved in the importation, transportation, manufacturing, and distribution of methamphetamine, he**in and fentanyl. The investigation revealed that methamphetamine in both liquid and solid form was transported into the United States through various points of entry. Once in the US, the liquid methamphetamine was converted to crystal methamphetamine at what are known as “ice recovery labs.” Once processed into solid form, it was distributed throughout the state of California, including the County of Madera.

Throughout the investigation, electronic intercepts were implemented to identify when drugs were being transported. Several traffic stops were orchestrated during the operation, resulting in the seizure of more than 230 pounds of methamphetamine.

In a separate incident, detectives coordinated the interception of a vehicle coming across the border from Mexico with over 70 pounds of methamphetamine concealed in a spare tire.

During the course of this investigation, a methamphetamine conversion lab was discovered in Ducor, CA, resulting in the seizure of 500 pounds of finished product and 500 pounds in liquid form.

Beginning on October 26, 2022 search warrants were served in Madera, Fresno, Merced, and Tulare Counties. During the service of these warrants, investigators located 3 additional clandestine laboratories and made multiple arrests. A total of 4 clandestine methamphetamine labs, responsible for converting liquid methamphetamine to crystal methamphetamine, were identified during this investigation; 1 in Madera County, 2 in Tulare County, and 1 in Fresno County.

At the time of this release, detectives have made nearly 30 arrests related to crimes discovered during this investigation.

This case is the product of a joint investigation by the regional Madera Narcotic Enforcement Team (MADNET), comprised of detectives from the Madera County Sheriff’s Office, Chowchilla Police Department, Madera County Probation, the Madera Police Department, and the California Highway Patrol, assisted by officers from the High Impact Investigation Team (HIIT), and the Fresno Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA).

Classified as “Operation Trifecta,” this is the largest narcotics seizure in Madera County’s history. To date, the operation has resulted in the seizure of more than 1,300 pounds of methamphetamine, 4 kilograms of he**in, and 2 kilograms of fentanyl. To quantify further, this equates to over 5,000,000 individual dosage units of methamphetamine, 10,000 dosage units of he**in, and 600,000 potentially fatal doses of fentanyl. 7 fi****ms have also been recovered.

The arrests of individuals associated with the organization have produced various felony and misdemeanor charges including the transportation and sale of methamphetamine, manufacture of methamphetamine, child endangerment and conspiracy to distribute methamphetamine. Bail amounts range from $500,000 to $10,000,000.

Sheriff Tyson Pogue states, “This is a monumental day for public safety in Madera County. The arrests made in this case, along with the closure of several processing labs and seizure of substantial amounts of drugs from their operation, will undoubtedly make a significant impact on the safety of the residents of Madera County and the state of California as a whole. We are thankful for the collaboration between our allied agencies to successfully navigate and conclude this investigation. This operation would not have yielded such positive results without the teamwork between the Madera County Sheriff’s Office, the Madera County District Attorny’s Office, Chowchilla Police Department, Madera County Probation, the California Highway Patrol, the California Department of Justice, Fresno Drug Enforcement Administration, US Customs and Border Patrol, Fresno County Sheriff’s Office, Merced County Sheriff’s Office, Kings County Sheriff’s Office, and the Turlock Police Department. This historical investigation should be a compelling indication to all of the relentless efforts we dedicate to taking a stand against drugs, and the criminal activity they provoke, in Madera County.”

The findings from this case will now be transferred to the Madera County District Attorney’s Office for prosecution.

TPD proudly supported the Stanislaus County Sheriff's Office during this important operation. Our partnerships with our allied agency teams make a huge impact on crime in our communities.
